I've asked around about it and then I didn't get a denial about it. So I am running with the idea that Reigns seemingly failed for a fat burner. It wasn't class A drugs or ROIDs. So Roman is bit more of a sympathetic case in light of that if true. I am sympathetic towards him as he has to live up to Cena. Daniel Bryan and CM Punk didn't last doing so. You could probably go back to the Bobby Lashleys in terms of Cena replacements or 1A and 1Bs. He has a lot of family pressure too. In terms of using fat burners specifically he's a 31 year old Samoan so bad genetics are working against him body wise.
