Why can we only place two stickers? I want to Nascar up my mech, if there's any paint visible it's too much.

There is actually a very good reason at the end of the game.

HAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL! :argh: What the gently caress!? The true final boss has an last ditch instant kill move!? I was trying to abuse invincibility frames to get through that, but no! That wave move ignores invincibility frames!

It is absurdly easy to dodge, it's just there to screw over people who just try and Stone through everything.

As a note, to all of you people who're excited with the final boss sequence: HAL really, really, really obviously cut a bit out of it. Said bit lies at the end of the True Arena, so get cracking. :unsmigghh:

Of those, I feel like only Sectonia Soul could reasonably be considered part of the final boss sequence instead of just a thing that happens sometime later. Meanwhile Planet Robobot's final boss could quite literally be slotted right into the final sequence without missing a beat.

Also, as a note on the final boss: the clock you fight at the end isn't Nova. Return to Dreamland's trivia actually notes there are tons of those giant clocks around, Nova was just one of many. Actually, the one in this game seems to be inferior in that while Nova ran on Star Essences or whatever those things you collected were, this one runs on life energy.

Robobot is an absolute explosion of little callbacks to things all across the series. It's the best.

EDIT: Oh yeah, there's an interview with the director about the game. It's neat!

If it's not Nova, how do you explain why it summons Nova's signature accessories?

It's just a reference, you're honestly thinking about this too hard.

Anyway the best part of the lore in this game is that Kirby is confirmed to have INFINITE POWER.

Another really fun bit of Kirby lore: This game heavily implies that Galacta Knight has been experiencing your fights with him in reverse order. When he's summoned in Meta Knightmare Returns, he is for once not encased in crystal. He was just tooling around somewhere until Star Dream pulled him over. But after losing, he gets sealed and chucked into a void... and as it turns out, across time. Since the fight with him in Meta Knightmare Ultra ends with him exploding, presumably the order of events was Planet Robobot > Return to Dreamland > Super Star Ultra.

Nova blew the gently caress up in Super Star, but it came back just fine as soon as more star essences were gathered. It's presumably still around, so there's no way it could be Star Dream. Besides, you misunderstand what's going on with the final boss. Haltman found a random Clockwork Star somewhere, and pretty much extracted its core to create Star Dream. Further study enabled them to activate it, and with it they were able to fly around with the main body as a big old spaceship.

More importantly, at no point does Star Dream ever go READY. Planet Robobot is filled with callbacks, you think they'd forget that one?

Star Dream says "READY -> GO>" in Meta Knightmare Returns in the Japanese version.

Oh, well then. :v:

I'm actually glad to hear that, I thought it was really weird they had this big reference without that.

Smash has Hammer baked into it, it's automatically really good. It having better movement and Final Cutter for some quick aerial damage is just icing on the cake.

They didn't lock it out for fairness reasons or anything though, they probably just wanted to keep it special.
