I assume this is what happens when the angry retiree who won't stop writing letters to the local newspaper takes it upon himself to also be the town historian on Wikipedia.

Here's a neat story-in-progress: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/north/ping-beep-hum-sound-arctic-ocean-igloolik-1.3831861 There's a pinging sound emanating from the sea floor north of Igloolik, and it's interfering with Inuit hunters' routine. All the obvious suspects claim they have no gear in the water, so the Canadian navy say they're going to take a peek.
