So basically need a solid veteran D to spot duty here and there, and maybe a good grit guy for the fourth line and a prospect or two up front.

Got a well equilibrated offence, 3 lines that can score, and the d is serviceable, even with some Sportgame guys in there.

Don't need more than serviceable when you've got Carey Price.

Oh and I need a coach. Who speaks French. This should be interesting.

Looks like I need a coach

with my final selection, I will select a coach who knows what it takes to win in Montreal. Who knows what it takes to lead in Montreal. Who knows what it takes to lift Lord Stanley. He even knows a few words of French, but can get away with not being fully fluent as he is a hero in this city.

I know I have them all out of position shut up it doesn't matter put them in the right spot in your minds.

Injuries are a bitch, Huberdeau, Vanek out for a while
Depth is still pretty goddamn nice, even if I'm seeing regression from Ghostbear (to be expected, it's a long term pick) and Bobby Ryan (laffo)

Hit gold with my 18 year old d-man pick, he looked good in his cup of coffee.

Of course, I have Carey Price, so it automatically makes this a playoff team. I think I have 4 lines who can score, and play responsible enough defence to make up for the fact that I have a defence that playing defence is of questionable ability.

So this is a neat tool where you can just plug in names and it estimates your teams CF%, CF/60, CA/60, GF%, GF/60, GA/60 and points over the course of a season. I plugged my poo poo team into it and got this:

So I drafted a mediocre team that'll squeak into the playoffs, assuming everyone is healthy, which seems incredibly accurate. I substituted Matt Martin and Nikita Soshnikov for Greening and Kerby Rychel.

You just have to download that sheet and pop it into excel or google sheets.

I quickly plugged Brodeur's Nunnery into it because he had the most impressive looking team to me on this page, substituting parenteau for buchnevich, and welp:
