I suck at hockey knowledge, but then again I don't think I can do worse than the actual Ottawa Senators.

So am I on the clock or we giving Ottis some more time? I pretty much know who I'm grabbing and I am going to sleep in like 30 minutes. So if that's that, then I'll give my pick tomorrow morning?

I'm gonna grab Filip Forsberg. C/RW. Here's why: he's 21 and already scoring 33 goals? That's nice, very nice. I mean he's riding a 13.4% shooting percentage, but elite shooters do tend to hover around there and I believe he's got it in him to be elite. He's signed for $6M 'til 2022, and I'm willing to bet he's gonna be worth every penny. I wouldn't be surprised if he's hovering around PPG next season. Now you can laugh at me because I didn't pick X,Y,Z. I dunno, I like Fil. With its second pick, the Ottawa "the city that fun forgot" Senators will select Artemi Panarin. I double checked the list, because I can't believe he's still available. I was sort of hoping he'd be picked so I could select an important C or D player... but I just can't bring myself to do so while he's sitting there, waiting to be picked up. I think the pick is self-explanatory. 0.963 points per game, 30 goals and 47 assists. 24 years old, and semi-hilariously, the Calder Memorial Trophy winner for 2016. The only worrisome part is I have no clue how much he'll be paid. Probably a poo poo ton. ->Otis Reddit

I really suck at this. I think I'll take defensedude Morgan Reilly. Signed for $5M until 2022-23. It's gonna sound dumb (it might be) but I really liked his aptitude at keeping the puck in the offensive zone: often in the right spot to intercept and keep the attack going. I'm reasonably sure he is going to develop into a pretty good D. Maybe not. In any case I'm excited to see his play develop over the next few years with the apparent talent that the Leafs will/might have. Up next Otis Reddit.

To be fair there are quite a few I am shocked are not yet picked. But then again, I might have a very skewed view of who's worth what, considering I'm an average homer.

Good pickup, in my lovely opinion.

I'll go with Rickard Rakell. I don't know much about this guy. I just think he looks decent on paper. He's young, he's Swedish, he's a center, he's still on an ELC. His last season was pretty decent, and it doesn't appear to be only luck. He'll fit right into my team. With Peace and Love, The RECAPITATOR. ThinkTank next.

Sorry for being late. Had a poo poo load of stuff to take care of today. All is good though. I will now select Petr Mrazek. Currently in arbitration for salary, so ??. I like this dude, played behind what I would call a mediocre defense and managed .921 over 54 games. He's 24 so presumably has not even reached him prime. I will now select Andreas Athanasiou. This guy might be faster than Larkin, and has great hands also. He did a lot with very limited minutes this last season. I will select Jean-Gabriel Pageau. He is tiny, but he's good as far as I can tell. This guy managed 43 points on a terrible line, with 7 goals shorthanded (the most). I have no doubt that given some quality players on his line he should be able to produce even more. Also he is from the same lovely town as I am. $900k next year then RFA.
