The Spy Who Loved Me is OK for a Moore movie that is trying to be not totally camp. Top 5 Bonds Movies in no particular order: 1. Freakin GOldeneye its just a drat crowd pleaser. AMERICA SLUGHEADS. 2. The Spy Who Loved Me, millenials need not apply 3. Skyfall, epic bond at its best. best of the craig ones by a long shot 4. Goldfinger, all the tropes, guy throws a hat, laser crotch assasination, bond converts a lesbian, etc 5. The Living Daylights, solid by the books no funny business bond even though it becomes a snooze fest sometimes, dalton is legit you heard it here boys honorable mentions: never say never again, casino royal, the spy who loved me, moonraker numberoneposter fucked around with this message at 01:55 on Jun 21, 2016 |

Roylicious posted:"Do you expect me to talk?" yeah it's really really hard to think of one that is more iconic, though the whole movie is full of great scenes and Goldfinger introduced/perfected a ton of film Bond-isms (Bond ordering a martini "shaken, not stirred", the ridiculously tricked out car, punny one-liners, etc.)- by volume I don't think any other Bond film is alluded to or referenced nearly as much as Goldfinger is Gert Fröbe did a fantastic job with the role of Goldfinger, especially considering he spoke English considerably less well than his agent implied and all of his dialogue was dubbed (they instructed him to speak quickly to make it less obvious) also, apparently they hosed up the pyrotechnics in both electrocution scenes and part of the reason both performances were so convincing was that the actors were continuing to act while being rather badly scalded/burned

Supposed they thought it was the funniest thing ever and there was no time to rehearse anything, it was just "on first signal look into the sky over there, on second signal fall over."

Dalton films are boring dreck. If I want a good 80s action film I'll watch a Schwarzenegger film. I really hope the next Bond, whether it be Idris Elba, a gay guy, a woman, a transgender, whatever, moves away from the dark serious Bond to something more fun. Moore, Brosnon, and Connery are so much better than Dalton and Craig. Lazenby was like...idk. Honestly I don't remember that movie much
