I used to think the usual suspects was good, then I watched it as an adult. Someone tell me why Kevin Spacey deserves an Oscar for that? All he did was phone in some voice-over work and fake a limp.

Hey, look. Look, if- if you screw me on this, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine, you rat bastard!
There was a story that long after Zoolander came out he seemed to unofficially change his opinion on the film and sort of said that it was the post 9/11 reaction that probably tinted his original review.

I seem to recall Ebert and Roeper were both incredibly negative on the Power Puff Girls movie and Zoolander due to what they felt to be offensive about them post-9/11.

Checking out their old reviews of popular movies is a weird experience. Both considered Aliens to be "too over the top" and "excessive" with violence and stuff. Strange criticisms really.

Freddy Got Fingered is a weird, stupid movie. It's also some kind of Dada-esque masterpiece.

Death to Smoochy is a fun movie as well. Every now and then Ebert dissed a gem, but he was usually on-point and had good commentary and insight on films.

Plus he wasn't afraid to be a savage to poo poo movies, so he's a good dude in my opinion.

Why do they still let Vincent Gallo make movies? Are they financed by his parents?

Has he made a movie recently? I don't think he's made an actual, full-length movie in like six years. He mostly coasts by on being a Too Cool and Sexy For You Eurotrash Guy with enough money to make pretentious bullshit when he feels like it. He's also a painter or something, so he's probably doing that these days.

Also does he write all his own imdb trivia/bio? What the gently caress is this poo poo http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001252/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm

Known for his multiple talents (filmmaker, actor, writer, musician, audio engineer, motorcycle racer), as well for his very conceptual and outspoken views and his radical, funny and original way of stating those views. A totally original one-of-a-kind person.

Gallo's Internet art questions celebrity, procreation, ego, social agenda, and views of religion, race and sexuality. These public offerings are motivated by extreme sensitivity, concept and thoughtfulness, however their presentation appears crude and offensive. Misinterpretation of this work is common and Gallo is often incorrectly categorized as a racist, sexist, homophobe.

If it talks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it might be a racist, sexist homophobe.

$1.5 million if you want natural insemination instead of artificial. You can waive the extra $500,000 by sending him pictures and hoping he doesn't think you're an uggo.

E: also no darkies but if you want a Jew kid, it'll technically count as one. are a Jewess I'm totally in because I want my offspring to be in the movie business, and Jewry plus my talent is unbeatable.

This is all brilliant satire by the way, just like his movies. They're boring and bad on purpose, to provoke an audience response.

They tried to give him a program so he could type his words in and it would reply in his own voice and not sound like Stephen Hawking. The quickly found out that despite years of footage they couldn't use "At the Movies with Siskel and Ebert because they were always yelling at each other.

The commentary for Citizen Kane is what they went with.
