My predictions for this season: Julie Chen announces this is going to be the craziest big brother season ever, due to the many wacky twists awaiting the houseguests. Stay tuned to find out what they are! But first- There will be one highly effeminate gay man, and one redneck, who has never seen a gay before, and is surprised to find they become friends. There will be a bitchy woman with terrible social skills who no one likes, who will be voted out early. In her exit interview, she will say she wouldn't have done a single thing differently. 90% of the houseguests will be pretty. 10%, not so much. At least one evicted houseguest will reenter the house. This won't end up changing anything. Julie Chen will use the word "showmance", which will make you cringe and wonder why you're watching such a cheesy show. But you'll keep watching.

It looks like you won't be able to watch the show on the CBS website, as you have in years past. Or are the episodes just not up yet? I tried to watch, and it said I had to be a member of CBS all access, whatever that is.

Anyone else find it to be cringe inducing every time they talk about what idiotic name they're going to give to the alliance they just created? It's painful to watch, I turn the sound off on my tv until it's over. I'm guessing that at some point, some group of idiots tried to do the same thing on Survivor, and the producers forbid them from using the name. There seems to be a rule that everything about Big Brother must be as cheesy as it can possibly be.

If I were in the house, I would like to name my alliance the most ridiculous thing possible, to get the producers to ban the name. Then come up with another one just as bad. "Let's call ourselves the Date Rapists!" Ban. "We've decided to name ourselves the Buttfuckers". Ban. "Ok, we're now called Assassinate the President".

jivjov posted:Isn't her emotionless delivery a deliberate affectation to remain objective? Better than Jeff Probst verbally fellating every challenge monster alpha male on Survivor, at any rate. I've always figured she shows up once a week an hour before the show airs, someone gives her a summary of whatever happened in the last week, and feeds her questions to ask. She's got better things to do with her life than to care about whatever's going on with the houseguests.

jivjov posted:Because tradition. Plus it can be used to fill some time while Julie talks to the evicted houseguest, making sure the people still in the house aren't doing/saying anything potentially interesting "off camera" for viewing during the live show. I'm guessing it's that they aren't allowed to leave that room while the show is still live. So they're standing there with nothing else to do, and they know the picture is going to turn grey, so they all look at it.

Eltoasto posted:Well then check out the spoilers thread to see a picture of your boy using up all the feminine pads and tampons in the house to spell a message on the shower wall. That's not a spoiler because they wouldn't show it on tv, but yeah, he's great. I don't watch the live feeds and this isn't a comment on whatever is going on with Paulie generally, but this doesn't sound all that terrible. Using up all the tampons and pads just means that big brother will give the women more.

Paul was the most likely person to win the game, targeting him was a good decision.

Every time they drop the care package, they play airplane sounds to try to make you think the thing is dropped from a plane. And then they show clips of it falling from fairly high up, but these clips are never combined with the one of it landing. Because really they're just tossing the thing over the wall, or someone is standing on the roof and just tosses it down.

Was it the best decision to put up Paul and Victor? I think if Victor and James were on the block, and Victor won the veto, there's a good chance he wouldn't have used it. Because then Paul would have to go up and Victor wouldn't want to screw Paul, and Victor and Paul were so big on trusting each other and their final 4. If you really want Victor to go home, the best chance is to make him think he's a pawn rather than the target.

The impression I get is that Paulie, no matter how much of an rear end in a top hat he may be or may have been in the house, has no interest in continuing the conflicts and wants to let everything go as the show is over for them. Davonne wants to keep fighting with Paulie, and if she's going to start fights with him, he's going to be as nasty as he can be as a reaction to that. Which to me makes her look bad, not him.

I don't think 4chan talks about Big Brother. They're too busy checking each others' dubs and posting deviant porn pictures.

There have been numerous references on the show to the fact that Michelle cries and throws up all the time. Why does she throw up?

I don't see how Paul was robbed. He robbed himself by taking Nicole instead of James.

violetdragon posted:After the show, several jury members said Paul would have handily won against James, obviously Paul had no way of knowing that, though. I do think it's likely that Paul had some idea like, "Nicole deserves to go to the end more than James". Which is the sort of reasoning which causes you to lose, which is why he lost.
