This will show for always that speeches don't matter. I caught hardly any of this season but Nicole's answers during the questions were so much better and she reiterated how she orchestrated a pivotal moment. Paul's speech was not very good. Maybe even a simple I'm sorry for being rude could have turned a vote. Ultimately I think Paul deserves to lose for taking Nicole.
