We're animals. Violence has a place in the human experience. As humans have become more civilized, we've developed increasingly ritualized forms of violence. In a capitalist society, that ritualization becomes more and more expensive.

I understand and agree with the objections to non ritualized violence. Disproportionate violence that could reasonably hurt those not involved or the proverbial "knife to a skin fight"/"gun to a knife fight". But in a country where watching gladiators give each other traumatic brain injury is the leading religious denomination, I find the concern trolling hella weak.

But i'll do you one better, we cannot allow anyone who grew up under and has been influenced by a religion that teaches people "I'm a pimp and thats good" and "I'm property and thats good" and so consumed by false gods that they have no concept of the natural laws to operate in our society. Muslim men should not be allowed to immigrate here and, yes, even Muslim women, who though they suffer are still a bastion for the belief system and are likely to spread it on to the next generation. I believe any effort to reeducate and reform a person with those ideals ingrained into them from so early an age would be doomed to fail or at least the success rate would be so abysmal that it would be foolish to try if the risk is allowing the failures to live on and infect our society.

In the long term if you're a moralist or if you think of humanity as a global organism instead of on a per country basis it seems clear that a campaign to wipe the theocracy out on it's home turf would be necessary as well.

It sounds like a cruelty and an injustice but as i see it for the cost of wiping out a form of completely baseless suffering that has gone on for millennia and shows no sign of stopping for a millennia more -no matter how much western propaganda we ship to those societies- it's a mercy in the long run, it's a mercy to all those not yet born under the theocracy. A billon deaths to prevent multiple future billions from life long suffering and ignorance. The ends justify the means.

If a Muslim truly wants a better life for their child and to elevate the position of their offspring I would allow children under a certain age to be accepted with immediate and full citizenship to be raised in state orphanages or adopted by appropriate foster families. A small percentage who could prove they've disavowed the religion completely (Salman Rushdie being a well known example) should be allowed to join us as well.

We must unite humanity under a combined ideology no matter the costs.
