Ran Jakes tonight. Def 15 spell immune Gallant is where it is at. Also I didn't realize her feat was a round so my opponent enjoyed all my reach infantry jamming his poo poo.

Won on scenario.

Captain E. Dominic Darius - WJ: +29
- Halfjacks
- Squire - PC: 5
- Stormwall - PC: 39 (Battlegroup Points Used: 29)
- Lightning Pod
- Stormclad - PC: 18
- Firefly - PC: 8

Captain Arlan Strangewayes - PC: 4

- Hunter - PC: 11
Stormsmith Stormcaller - 3 Stormsmiths: 5

Trencher Chain Gun Crew - Gunner & Grunt: 5

This is the best Darius list I can come up with. I do wish that Darius came with a speed buff but boosted melee attack rolls is fine with me.

Objective : Armoury
Intercessor Kreoss - WJ: +28
- Fire of Salvation - PC: 16 (Battlegroup Points Used: 16)
- Reckoner - PC: 16 (Battlegroup Points Used: 12)
- Vanquisher - PC: 17

High Exemplar Gravus - PC: 9
Wrack - PC: 1

Choir of Menoth - Leader & 3 Grunts: 4
Exemplar Vengers - Leader & 4 Grunts: 20
Idrian Skirmishers - Leader & 9 Grunts: 15
- Idrian Skirmisher Chieftain & Guide - Chieftain & Guide: 5

With this list you'll have AD Idrians that you want to put Arcane Ward on as soon as possible. Def 15-19 makes people cry.

Your Vengers take a flank, try to keep on in range of Kreoss walking over and putting Ignite on them.

Gravus tries to collect Venger souls while keeping Kreoss from being knockdown.

Fire of Salvation should be behind your Idrians so that you can Righteous Vengeance him off to murder things 14-16 inches away.

Vanquisher goes for squishes, even if they are immune to blast damage since it will at least set them on fire.

Reckoner can either act as another melee beat stick it hang it back mid field so it can snipe solos out and then beat things in the face as a second line jack.

Plus with premeasuring you can use those cool widgets to space out your dudes so you can minimize blast damage.

Premeasuring is also great for setting up perfect cloud walls.

Super close game last night but I got edged out on scenario thanks to Hellmouths. Nemo 3 is still my boy and I screwed myself out of a Blightbringer kill by forgetting to run up a Firefly before feating. Stormstrider is such money and worth the price of admission alone for his 10 inch +2 to hit bubble. Hope the rest of you goons did better.

S.J. posted:

Tell me about your Nemo 3 experiences because he seems a lot more useful than in Mk2.

Magnetic Field is what you need. Stopping pushes, knockdown, places and slam movement shuts down so many assassinations. Electrify helps keeps our fragile jacks alive or slap it on a Stormblade/Stormlances for even greater times.

He needs Reinholdt as his attachment choice. Being able to shoot twice or let everyone ignore stealth is huge.

Feat is still baller since you only need to get friendly models in your control range to get that bonus die. With a Firefly it gets stupid for damage.

Stormstrider should be an auto include. It loves what you need to take with Nemo and if you manage to get some power tokens you'll be smashing stuff with POW 15-17 on 4d6.

I'm still iffy on the rest of her battlegroup. I want to put a Hurricane in there but I also want Dynamo and points disappear fast.

Here is my current list;

War Room Army

Cygnar - Nemo3

Theme: No Theme Selected
74 / 75 Army

Artificer General Nemo - WJ: +25
- Storm Chaser Finch
- Reinholdt, Gobber Speculator - PC: 4
- Dynamo - PC: 18 (Battlegroup Points Used: 18)
- Firefly - PC: 8 (Battlegroup Points Used: 7)
- Firefly - PC: 8

Storm Strider - PC: 18

Major Katherine Laddermore - PC: 8

Stormblade Infantry - Leader & 5 Grunts: 10

Storm Lances - Leader & 4 Grunts: PC 20

Dynamo losing set defense made me very upset.

e: For that list I would drop the Stormblade entirely, add a Journeyman and put one of the Fireflies on it. That buys you an Ironclad. Or spend those points on utility solos or something - heck even the Storm Tower, that thing is legit now for only 4 points.

Tried Storm Tower twice now and it's just not getting enough done. Not happy with it so its sitting out.

I like the Stormlances with Nemo since they hit really hard and poo poo even more lightning everywhere. Plus they resolve the speed issue that Nemo has, since he has no innate way to increase threat range. ARM 19 with 5 boxes is hard to chew through and ensures I'll get them where I need them.

If they flounder I'll take you up on those ideas though.

Maximus - PC: 4

Farrow Brigands - Leader & 9 Grunts: 15

Farrow Slaughterhousers - Leader & 5 Grunts: 11

This is my big armour crack list to handle all the jack or beast spam lists. Everything already hits hard and takes it up to 11 on feat turn.

Pairing this with:

Armory - Steamroller Objective

Helga the Conquerer - WB: +29
- Battle Boar - PC: 7 (Battlegroup Points Used: 7)
- Road Hog - PC: 16 (Battlegroup Points Used: 16)
- War Hog - PC: 15 (Battlegroup Points Used: 6)

Farrow Slaughterhousers - Leader & 5 Grunts: 11
Croak Raiders - Leader & 9 Grunts: 17

Excelsiortothemax

Thankfully I'm a player right now but when I was a DM all I did was write down HP, Def and ARM. Everything else I improv'd and encouraged my players to not just stand and shoot or stab each other.

Throw a barrel, Matlock some TnT together from chewing gum and left over black powder, use the bad guy's bodyguard like a toboggan and make a grand entrance at his fancy dinner party.

Bring a jack or a beast? Smash everything!

I think that even though the IKRPG has a lot of crunchy rules, the sooner you only use them as a frame work for your story on the DM side, the better your experiences will be.

So I played Wurmwood against Caine 2 today. Victory for me and the tree but it was so terrifying every turn making sure I was 16.1 inches away in a forest all game. Pre-measuring let me stay juuuuust out of Caine's assassination but it required a lot of shenanigans and feating on bottom of turn 1. Also using Cassius as a human yo-yo never gets old.
