Before mk3, I saw a lot more Coc than Ret. I think it's popular enough to justify at least a model or two per book (4+ for others. I don't mind limited release, but it's been beyond dead. Also CoC has amazing theming and art design and I love it. The pumpkinhead Nightmare Before Malifaux faction has a lot to prove. Edit: I want a CoC journeyman caster. It mucks up induction but a rat 6 Jr. could shake them up significantly.

Want a really mobile warjack in your army, but just can't make it happen without breaking the rules of the game? Worry no more! If you take Sam & Devil Dogs, Sam is a Jack Marshall with a Drive: Reposition 5". Add on a Ranking Officer such as Attendant Priest or Murdoch, and now they are #FACTION# models instead of Mercenary models. Which means they can take Redeemers / Hunters / and give them Aim, The bonus aim damage marshall, AND reposition 5".

I think you can do it with Valachev. I just don't know if it's worth doing to jack marshal a khadoran jack. Although the Marshal Aiming would stack well with a big AoE. Edit: It's probably not worth doing on anything anyways with the possible exception of a Redeemer [which is stupid when marshaled] but honestly, I just want to do weird poo poo like this for the sake of doing weird poo poo, rather than because it's some secret OP tech. It's gonna take some getting used to, sure. And it's entirely possible that I'm missing some big picture balance thing... But I feel like their designs are pretty awkward compared to their balance in MK2, and in too many cases I've felt less options in what to take rather than more. ^ I actually liked 42 points in MK2, and yea, 75 MK3 feels a lot closer to that. You can't simply bring the kitchen sink anymore, and support bloat is a harder choice. 75 feels nice, though I wouldn't mind a small 10-point 'sidebar' for all factions, upped higher for ADR.CaptCommy posted:Same goes for all the Troll pieces you've mentioned so far. Prayers just let them do so and be useful at the same time. I'm not saying trolls are in a bad place, mind you. I'm just saying I feel less versatility in list building in mk3. How do I play pFeora? So far every game I lose has been a MAT 11 Ghetorix to the face [eKromac and eKreuger] and the games I've won I feel like I won because of my army, not because my caster did anything. I feel like I want to play forward enough to threaten with Engine and put jacks into Effigy territory, but if I get far enough upfield to do that, I get killed. Here's what I'm thinking: Tristran Crusader Crusader (cheap beaters) Castigator (cheap SPD 5 beater) Dervish (cheap mobile jerk) Purifier (cheap mobile jerk. Could be 2nd dervish) Redeemer (pew pew, truesight solo removal) 2x Wracks Choir (Self explanatory) Max Flame Bringers (front-line and forces the line of engagement to your enemy. Also good early target for Invol) Max Cinerators (solid 2nd line to go in with your jacks, good late target for Invol) Gorman (Always a solid utility) Throw flame bringers in their face, and follow up with everything else, and everything can benefit from heals.
