Nice. Glad to hear people are still playing them.

Has PP said when the release for the new campaign book is? I know it was scheduled for June, but my google skills are failing to locate a more precise date. Not that precision matters for me. PP can't seem to handle international sales which is going to lead to the campaign books arriving in Ontario in October.

They've stated that Oblivion will be available at GenCon. When it's available for general sale is another matter. It's going to be a boxed, rather than just a book, which may or may not improve the international sales aspect (I'm in New Zealand, and have found that online wargames retailers often refuse to ship books internationally but are fine to ship boxed sets).

I'm just excited to get something in the vicinity of the "something for everyone" almanacs that they used to put out twice a year. Just War Room and CID is not enough to make this game feel like it's still alive, they need Escalation/Reckoning/etc coming out regularly, even if as loss-leaders.

I'm still feeling positive. It's early days yet. Gencon rumour mill and facebook hysteria all just sounds a bit too 4chan for me to take at face value for now. (Admittedly it's easy for me to feel that way when I haven't spent any money on the new stuff yet.) I'm enjoying pulling my Protectorate out of storage and building armies with the beta cards, and at this stage am still planning on picking up one of the new starter sets in October.

The Exemplars army from the beta docs is Major Theme: Exemplars and Minor Theme: Reclaimers. I think it's a fair guess that that's how all the Legacy MkIV armies will go. Extrapolating, I'd think they'd go with Faithful Masses as the minor theme for the Flameguard army, and save Paladins for some sort of cadre (especially given how independent from the Protectorate they always rather were).

I'm just thinking of my beloved Temple Flameguard, with whom I've had so many good times. The number of occasions that I've pinned down legendary warbeasts with nothing but a handful of lads with sticks... Bring tears to the Menite eye. I was mortified to not find them in the initial Protectorate demo army, so I'm just happy to see that my stick-happy helmetchums are going to be hitting the table again. Presumably commanded by my bestie Feora, in some form or other.
