I decided to watch a playthrough of the GameGear version of Spinball after you guys finished it on Genesis. That version has really long credits, and at the end it tells the player to go to sleep.

loving wow. I feel like I should have expected that, somehow. Amazing, that seems oddly appropriate.

I actually really liked this game growing up, with the caveat that I rarely, if ever, got as far as level 4 and never saw the final boss.

I remember hating it, but still being fond of it, and in all honesty I have absolutely no idea why, since I know for a fact that the only Sonic game I absolutely loathe more than this is Sonic Labyrinth. That'll be a loving nightmare, be warned.

Anyway, we finally have our next series started, with Part 2 coming later tonight! Enjoy!

For what it's worth, this is the game that we had recorded way out of order (due to incorrect info that it came out in February 1993 instead of much later in the year). So there's a lot of weird timey-wimey poo poo in here, and a few mistaken conclusions to be made as well, so I do apologize for that.

Sheeeeeezus, yeah it did. Weird, the actual recorded footage is desynched from itself and everything. Didn't catch it because of the remote editing, but I fixed it last night. While it wasn't soon enough to fix last night's other upload...

...it was caught in time to fix the rest of them. Sorry for the awkwardly-synched videos, guys. Gotta be more vigilant on that, it seems.

Not long, actually! Mild spoiler: she takes over later on today.

And yeah, it might not be quite as jarring as desynched audio in an action game, but it's still definitely disorienting.

Alright, so... this is something I've kinda wanted to try doing for a long time now, and it just so happened to sync up with a meaningful point in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, so we decided to jump on it. This isn't strictly a "Let's Play" (though it does align for the most part with "Let's Watch" and "Reaction" style content, and we do consider it a part of the overall Super Sonic Let's Play), but I would like, if I may, to introduce you all to a new series on the channel: D-Pad + Chill.

It's definitely rather heavily inspired by the "group viewings" recordings from other channels, like I Hate Everything and Your Movie Sucks, and I honestly have no idea how well this will do, or if it will even really be funny at all. Taking a wild swing in the dark and hoping for the best. This will basically serve to help us dig through 65 episodes of a cartoon for the sake of a Seriesly-style video down the road, and will be a weekend companion to the regular weekday Let's Play videos in the series, like the Battle Network videos are to the non-Battle Network videos in The Mega Let's Play.

So, without further ado, here are the first two episodes of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog!

I'd be 100% happy with this being as "canon" as the Sonic Boom universe. If nothing else, I think I'm mostly sad that Spinball (sort of) and Mean Bean Machine were the only games this series ever got to touch. Gameworld would have made for a great match, but I guess they opted for the "Segasonic" brand for it.

Absolutely :) We're planning on doing something like this for at least the three 90s cartoons, we'll see how we're feeling about Sonic X and Sonic Boom after that!

And now, the alcohol sets in...

Honestly, I know basically nothing about Sonic Underground other than that it was basically another dark(ish) show, and Sonic had siblings Sonia and Manic. That's... that's actually all I know.

But it will happen, mark my words.

Sonic and his heretofore unseen siblings all have magic amulets that turn into musical instruments (A Guitar for sonic, keyboard for his sister, and drumset for his brother) so they can sing songs that solve the problem of the week.

The magic amulets are also laser guns.

Note: The series was produced in an effort to increase interest in Sonic Adventure, it has basically nothing to do with Sonic Adventure other than it has both Sonic and Knuckles in it.

Apropos of nothing, I'm currently going through your Hyrule Warriors videos, and... were you playing on a small TV or something? Because the sheer number of times you missed a big flashing YOU NEED TO DEAL WITH THIS NOW or found yourself bumping into locked doors clearly visible on the map is startling. (And I'm not just saying this to be snarky. At least once you said you couldn't see the locked doors, but they show up just fine in the videos.)

No, I was just really bad at the game :\ I had Dynasty Warriors for the PSP and was horrible at it, so in Hyrule Warriors I was just completely overwhelmed most of the time and got super lost among all the activity and the noise.

I did get better over time.

In other news, we have another pair of D-Pad + Chills from this weekend! First up is "Lovesick Sonic", where Sonic meets a lady hedgehog named Breezie who isn't what she appears to be :O, but he's still a horny dumbass anyway. The second is "Slowwww Going", which sees Robotnik making a "Slow Gun" and gives himself absolutely no safety measures to fix himself if he ever gets hit by it. This won't backfire in any way at all.

There was no Season 9. It never happened. It was a mass hallucination and nothing more, LA LA LA LA LA LA
