The black community was the first major victim of globalization. Places like Detroit are just the beginning of the decline of western standards of living as the corporate super state dissolves borders and destabilizes communities by integrating 3rd world refugees and illegal immigrants into previously wealthy communities. As we raise living standards across the globe by encouraging illegal immigration, exporting jobs, and engaging in unfair trade practices (that benefit international corporations alone), Western living standards will fall. Every corner of the globe is being usurped into this corporate plantation like structure. African-Americans were upwardly mobile right along white Americans until all the manufacturing jobs were shipped overseas. They should be seen as a the canary in the coal mine for things to come.
