There's something weird about hearing folk who right now are the most highly funded patreon around rambling on how meansprited and vitrolic political discourse is, when a considerable part of the appeal of them involves being acerbic and meanspirited towards a lot of folk around them. Then again I heard Matt go on how people expect the DSA to start getting results as stuff but then proceeds to poo poo on other foreign socialist parties (which I don't know, at least have power and have a bit more experience on building and maintaining their bases), so I guess I should take anything they endorse with a huge grain of salt.

I still think the DSA should keep an ear out for European Socialist parties, Portuguese ones at least. Matt may have decried those as "neoliberal sellouts" but at least those had power and quite an organization apparatus.
