This may come from me being a lazy, depressed lump, but imagine working to make the world a worse place. Not making the world a worse place as a consequence of doing something you enjoy, not benefiting from doing something bad, not doing something bad to fund an expensive lifestyle. Sitting down, forgoing leisure, and expending effort because you want to spend time making life worse for poor people and covering for death squads.

I was in middle school when shock comedian Tom Green was diagnosed with testicular cancer and did a special on his ordeal, including showing surgery where a testicle and some damaged lymph nodes were removed. As a quiet, awkward kid, I was a target for bullies. While riding my bike one day, I passed a group of kids, one of whom broke away to ride his bike up to me, and in an attempt to impugn on my masculinity, asked "Do you have a lymph node? I just listened to the episode about the horrible, horrible "by and for the troops" zombie "comedy" Range 15. I looked it up on Wikipedia, and under reception it only said that there were no reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Figuring that may have changed and no one bothered to update it in two years, I went over there, and saw that there were still zero critical reviews, but an 85% audience score.

I’ve been thinking about their segment on Bernie’s Fox town hall, and while I agree that Bernie crushed the hell out of it, I think it was okay to be skeptical about his decision to go on. Left tube has been fighting a lot against the idea that we should debate white nationalists and defeat them with facts and logic. And even if Fox isn’t as overtly vile as Breitbart, it has more in common than not. Wanting to avoid legitimizing Fox News is more of a leftist concern than a centrist lib concern I think. Then again, there’s a difference between having an open forum and getting in a shouting match with Tucker Carlson. And while they were right that CNN is bad and would try to kneecap Bernie too, I think I can be forgiven for assuming that Fox would be the one to assemble the more hostile crowd. So I guess I’m not sure. What do you guys think?

Why haven't the leaders of Venezuela and Iran just given Trump a hotel deal? North Korea just did a nice photo op and that was enough to get him to back off. Remember how he went from talking about Saudi Arabia and 9/11 on the campaign trail to bragging about selling them weapons? Just project his face up on a wall like they did and he'd probably give them nukes. Really, it's Maduro's fault he hasn't just done this

On the topic of "a little bullying," in middle school, much of the bullying I received was "ironic" homoerotic grabbing at my butt and crotch. Talking about it with my dad was an even worse experience. He was sympathetic but also angry and basically took it out on the only nearby person, especially if he didn't see me "making an effort." It suuucked. So I see red every time I have to hear about a little bullying being good. And hoo boy do I have some buried feelings now that my dad and most of the other dads in our social circle voted for the pussy grabber.

My stupid sadbrain has trouble doing stuff that's hard now but will become easier and also benefit me later, like starting a workout plan or writing papers for school. Start work in the paper now, less stress later. Working out sucks at first, but it'll get easier, I'll get stronger, look and feel better, and even get endorphine rushes. I know all this intellectually, but I cannot almost never bring myself to do it. So what's the goal I'm shooting for with smoking? Okay, so there's this thing I hate the smell of. Still, I have to suck this foul-smelling poo poo directly into my lungs. It sucks for everyone at first, but I gotta keep at it regularly. Eventually, I get used to it, and then, finally, I ...?!?! So they talked about what the live action Jokers and their places in their associates zeitgeist, but what about the animated Jokers. I haven’t worked out what the Mark Hamill Joker represented, but there’s probably something to be said about how when they brought him back in the 2010s for video games, he was basically the same but more explicitly murderous. The Joker of The Batman in the mid-late aughts was basically a nu metal frontman.

Anyone who says that everyone has gender neutral bathrooms in their houses and is fine with it never had a sister. Women be shopping, am I right fellas? Seriously though, my sister was a bathroom tyrant who would yell at me for using the main bathroom to poop and once made a serious effort to lobby my parents to forbid me from using it. Not because I stunk it up or made messes, but because she thought I took too long and was inconsiderate of the fact that she would want to use it for primping. Not even at the moment, just in the near future. There was a sliding door between the sink and toilet/shower, and she would barge in through an unlockable door to grab Kleenex while I was on it. And with the “classy” seven-year-old barging in on those poor boys during what should be a time of quiet contemplation confirms what I’ve always suspected: Cis men are the real victims of bathroom invasions.
