Corek posted:Tonight's SNL guest stars Lin-Manuel Miranda. It will almost certainly have Alec Baldwin vamping as Trump and then Hamilton shows up to rap about how bad he is. AV Club (which has really gone to poo poo this year, especially as the comments section turned into a YASS KWEEN safe-space) creamed itself over it, especially because Miranda referenced another podcast quite a bit during the show. The ep also had Jimmy Fallon, who corpsed three (III) times. e: that "other podcast" was MBMBAM, and the reference was some sort of hand gesture. i was watching #Pac12AfterDark so i'm going off reports. Will's already apologized for attributing "They are who we thought they were!" to Herman Edwards instead of Denny Green (God rest him) in this week's ep. (Though he also said that Herm's "You PLAY to WIN the GAME!" also would have worked well in this instance. Personally I can't wait until they reference one of Jim Mora, Sr.'s interviews.)

Re-listening to the post-election episodes right now, and I agree with their desire to see an all-Deschanel ticket for the Dems in 2020. Mostly for the resulting arguments on who's more attractive. I personally prefer Emily, but I'll take 'em both, I'm hardcore!

Here's the bracket: I'm going to play Jerry Palm and be the bracketologist-in-residence for this one: The toughest play-in is Barstool Sports' Chicago idiot versus a guy obsessed with getting foul balls. Headass has its clear favorites (Al Giordano, Arthur Chu) but also more than a few dark horses (Lauren Chief Elk has a very tough 8/9 draw against Alex Jones, while don't be surprised to see Todd Kincannon pull off the 2/15 upset against OhNoSheTwint). Spirit Cooking is in my mind the deepest bracket, utterly loaded with idiots of all stripes, especially in the sports field (Bill Simmons, Skip Bayless, Jason Whitlock, Curt Schilling, Marlins Man, and ANOTHER Barstool dumbass in Chaps) but also pop culture (Amy Schumer, Lena Dunham, and indeed Bill Simmons) and politics (Baseball Crank, Steven Crowder, Kurt Eichenwald, Scott Adams): whoever got drawn here is going to have a war on their hands to make it to the Fuccboi Four. The Cuck Region has two sporting dark-horses (Clay Travis and Darren Rovell) but a number of political heavy-hitters: Jill Filipovic, Joe Walsh, Ben Shapiro, Mike Tracey and the under-rated Shanley Kane are all here, but it'll take a certain kind of mindset to best the #1 seed--a gorilla mindset, if you will. Patreon has some great names you already know and love: Clara Jeffrey (but not her eight-year-old son), Dady Soyle, Peter Daou (the #1 seed), a man who owned us all in Bill Mitchell, but there's also two massive upset hopefuls in Sarah Kendzior (a woman whom I'm ashamed to share my city with) at #13 against Brianna Wu and The Wokest Bae Matt McGorry, whose chances have rapidly improved of the 5/12 upset now that Patton Oswalt has changed his colors of late.

Also, my Execrable Eight picks: Arthur Chu and Al Giordano from the Headass Region, Marlins Man and Lena Dunham from the Spirit Cooking Region, Mike Cernovich and the winner of Clay Travis/Jill Filipovic (because they're both poo poo in their own, special way, and that's going to be a classic Rd of 16 matchup) in the Cuck Region, and down in the Patreon Region Matt McGorry (he's like VCU was a couple years ago in the NCAAs, the guy no-one but the real fans see coming) and Dady Soyle.
