Why are lightmeters seemingly so expensive ? You'd think it would be pretty easy to build with modern electronics.

So like an idiot i turned the film advance crank on my Yashica 124 half an inch in the wrong direction and now the litle fucker is completely busted.

I can load film, turn the crank until it locks (in an incorrect position), fire the shutter, and then it's done, the crank won't move.

Am I boned ?

I tried loading/unloading film, loving around with the shutter release etc

e: I think we're back to normal, I don't know wtf, I'm probably confused

The second one is straight for the lab's scanner except for a slight crop. This is portra.
Alkanphel mostly shoots slides afaik.

The lower speeds on my Mat 124G suddenly started sticking, as in the shutter doesn't shut again after the exposure time elapsed.

Is there anything for a hobbyist to try and fix this ? I read that opening the thing and dropping a few droplets of oil (which kind ?) could fix this.
Bummer as I really like the little thing.

e: I'm bringing it to a shop and have a quote for a CLA, should be around 130e

Thanks. First I'll try bringing it to a local shop tomorrow and see what they say.

I've been having a hell of a time getting good shots with my Pentax 67 with Portra 400, and looking for any pointers about nailing exposure, beyond metering the shadows and shooting at 320/200 instead of 400.

What do you not like about your photos ? You don't really need to nail the exposure on common scenes to get an acceptable image when shooting portra 400.
