One thing I really appreciate about the King's Bounty games is that as the series progresses they abandon all semblance of taking things seriously.

Higher Magic; so good that they nerfed it in later games and it still broke the game.

The animation quality extends to the overworld too. All of the environments have just a ton of little details that makes the whole thing move when you're around.

It's hilarious that the most powerful tool in your army is lots and lots of skeletons with crappy bows that are probably falling apart.

Higher Magic 3 will basically carry you through the game. Magic is crazy powerful in the first game, and even nerfs throughout the others still just brought it to par with the other trees.
