It also doesn't seem to be easily discovered that Sunny's shield drone charges up over time and only starts shielding when it's fully charged, so re-placing it every few seconds gets you gently caress all. I'm really annoyed when it gets destroyed incidentally by monster fire breath or something though.

Will this run OK on a 2 year old laptop with onboard graphics? The required specs seem too low to be true, unless they took a hatchet to the graphical quality since I tried it on PS4.

How the hell are you supposed to use Jack's repulser? The beam is always red so I know it's not slowing the monster. It's hard as hell to find a position that makes the beam slow it.

It's hard as hell to find a position that makes the beam slow it. You can actually angle the beam. If the monster is moving perpendicular to you, you can aim the crosshair in front of it and the beam will bend to push against it sideways. It takes some getting used to but it can really annoy a Goliath or a Wraith, say. I've had trouble with Jack against Krakens though because they don't really care about the repulsor, so it doesn't always work that well.

Is there a set rule to how the monster melee attacks? Do you build up a 1 hit -> 2 hit -> heavy hit combo? I've noticed with Gorgon sometimes I'll swipe with left or right claw, sometimes with both in a two fisted pound and occasionally a spiderman whip. It seems like the 2x pounder and the spiderman whip do more damage too. precision posted:Will this run OK on a 2 year old laptop with onboard graphics? Onboard graphics is gonna be a stretch I imagine, but hey its free so it won't cost you anything to try.

I'm running it on an i5-6600 with 16 gigs of RAM and the horrible Intel integrated graphics chip. (My video card is temporarily unavailable). I have everything set to the lowest of the low, and it's still barely playable. Things seem playable when you have the resolution set to 800x600, but in a big fight it gets pretty bad. Edit: It's a free game now, you may as well give it a go and see how it runs.

How do you deal with a wraith in general? I find it difficult to track between it spazzing around every 3 seconds and vomiting particle effects everywhere to where I'm not sure what the gently caress is going on.

The one that flashes is the fake one. I usually play hyde against wraith so I can just blow fire everywhere.

Drakes posted:How do you deal with a wraith in general? I find it difficult to track between it spazzing around every 3 seconds and vomiting particle effects everywhere to where I'm not sure what the gently caress is going on. Two things, one straightforward, one not so straightforward. First of all, if you shoot a Wraith decoy, it will flash bright white. If you shoot something and it flashes white, it is not the Wraith, and you are wasting your time. Do note that the real Wraith will turn a different shade of white (kind of blueish white?) if he goes into Supernova mode. It's clear when this is happening because it will not be flashing white, it will just be solid blueish white even when not being shot, and it will have a much faster attack speed. The decoy can also go into Supernova mode. Second of all, you need to think like a Wraith, which is less straightforward. Depending on what stage it is, it will either be hyper aggressive or want to get the hell away from you. In stage one, and possibly stage two, the Wraith will not want to get into direct confrontations if at all possible...so 75% of the time you engage it, it is going to send a decoy forward, and retreat away from the fight and behind a pillar or something. The decoy is incapable of doing anything but charging forward into combat, so if you see two Wraiths, and one is charging your rear end, and one is deucing out, it's pretty obvious which one is the decoy. In stage one you really need to keep an eye on this, because Wraiths use it to retreat and regenerate their armor behind cover. In stage three, Wraiths are more likely to use the decoy as a brother in arms, fighting along side it rather than using it to tie you up and hide. Sometimes the ballsier Wraiths will do this in stage two. It's obvious when this is happening, as you have two Wraiths tearing your poo poo up. I think Gorgon is secretly the most consistently strong monster. I've definitely killed more wraiths than gorgons. Even with Hank it's hard to keep somebody alive when the monster has a hard dick for them, and the gorgon is so good at keeping people down. I usually win as Gorgon on the second dome.

I had been trying to use web snare and acid puke exclusively in combat, and I've learned that spider trap is where it is at. If you trap someone in mid combat, and puke on the spider, they are dead. It's nearly guaranteed. Then you can spider trap the corpse, and so on. They fall like dominoes. Gorgon is also the fastest traversing monster, which means you rarely have to even engage the hunters unless you hosed up somehow, or you wanted to engage them.

G2A is a shady key reseller and you should not buy anything from them if you can help it. Buying from websites like that helps support credit card fraud.

G2A is a seller marketplace and don't sell any keys themselves. Most of the keys sold there are legitimate, and they recently added a ton more security to prevent fraudulent sellers. e; vv that's "most" as in "the percentage of illegitimate keys is, as far as we know, so small it doesn't matter," not "51% of the keys are legit so it's technically most!" I mean, yes, there's still a non-zero risk, that's true (especially if you use it to buy older games, like HL1 or Diablo, where you have no guarantee that the key you're getting wasn't claimed 10 years ago by someone with a keygen). Glad to have people to play against - I loved this game when it came out, but the DLC nonsense prevented any of my usual mob from buying. It's still all about the Kraken for me; You're so hard to track, and the instant you're Stage 3 you just ram Banshee Mines & Lightning Strike down the lead guys' throat, then usually the alpha strike means you've got a 3 man team to fight afterward. Someone remind me; How do you do Pounce attacks?

Lennox's damage output is pretty ridiculous, I don't think seen a monster's health go down so fast outside of when a monster throws a tantrum and gives up, letting all the hunters shoot them in the face. The leap seemed a little jankety if you land on top of the monster though, it seemed to not complete the animation and not do damage, anyone else had that trouble?

I am having a blast with this so far. I find myself actually wanting to be able to buy some more keys to help me unlock more stuff, since key acquisition is pretty inconsistent. I'll get 700+ keys from one match because of challenges/hidden challenges/level ups, etc... But then I'll have a 19 minute match as monster, win, and get a whopping 50 keys. It's a little disheartening. That being said, I've been working on becoming a pretty decent Goliath and having fun. Whoever the Trapper is with the harpoon gun drives me loving crazy. I have gone up against a couple of good ones who I seriously could not ever get away from before dome cooldown was back up. Harpoon trap lady is annoying, but totally fine. That guy with the gun though... Caira seems pretty broken at my MMR though. If I play her and take pretty much all jetpack/dodge perks, I am unkillable, and I can keep the whole team up really easily. The only games I lose as Caira are when someone gets wayyyy ahead and domes the monster, then gets killed before I can get there. It's hilarious how mad Monsters get as I just jet from column to column, and have full fuel back by the time they climb up to me again. I am probably terrible, and would get completely wrecked by an actually good Monster player though.
