Amanchu is just very reminiscent of Aria. Same author, similar funny faces, the general theme of water, heck even the soundtrack has that same chilled-out acoustic guitar feel to it.

This week's episode was gayyyyyyy!   Also cute and relaxing and a basic intro to diving pressure changes. Hopefully next week we'll meet the rest of the diving club and maybe get in the water?

I like the manga but the Muppet faces are way overdone in the anime. Also I may be the wrong audience but this just doesn't keep me interested. Too little happens, and too slowly at that.

The gag with the clothing article was golden, the diving was intense (I had the same problem with my mask filling with water!), the buddy system was very buddy-buddy. I like this show.
