Hear ye Hear ye - Pick up your camera and take pictures

All posters that post a picture that they take every day for the next month starting today (and ending 8/18) will be entered for a super secret prize.

also - BEST PICTURE will get a super secret prize as well.

PLEASE POST PICTURES WHETHER YOU ARE ENTERING OR NOT - I will continue to take entries for a couple more days.

it doesn't suck.

those hills are 4 blocks away. that whole area is a park and you can walk up the hills on trails. the views from the top (or as far as i've gotten) are gorgeous. i'm considering making the hike so i can take a picture for you guys this month

the ocean is on the other side of that mountain range. about a 45 minute drive

San Diego is rad and redeemed California in my eyes

Hung out with a friend at the beach (sunset cliffs) and smoked joints all day. Climbed down some cliffs to get there. Walked around Ocean Beach and got lunch.

In a cool airbnb private room with 2 nerdy reddit folks and it was cheaper than any hostel I've looked at so I think I'm done with hostels.

Had some cataclysmic nightmares with Amtrak ticket agents in the stations. One ripped my pass, another told me that meant the pass was void and tried to take it away from me.

Argued with a manager and got to keep the pass then they told me it wasn't valid for travel to/from San Diego effectively trying to strand me here.

Called their support line and got it all sorted out along with an upgrade to business class for my 38 hour long trip to Seattle up the PCH starting at 6am tomorrow

OK, let's see if I can get Imgur working, and get myself motivated to actually participate.

I didn't read this thread until Tuesday, but luckily I had taken a picture on Monday anyway.

On Tuesdays, I usually go downtown to meet a friend for conversation, etc.

But most of the time that I'm not at work, I stay home with the dogs. That doesn't mean I can't trek to water (it's just a shorter trek, and there's not as much water as some of you have). This little lake is on part of my yard. I've named it Veronica. Sadly, it's been pretty hot and low on rain so the water's stagnant and algae grows furiously.

I'm hoping I'll be able to keep up with the rest of you!
