I never had much sympathy for doctors, but my last shred of it for them disappeared when I overheard two docs talking about other people working in a hospital as "the little people", and patients as "plebs". That, and if you fake being really nice to the ladies from said little people and plebs, they'll often bring you some home-cooked food the next time they see you.

I feel sorry for the construction workers like roofers who are up there killing themselves for almost nothing, same with doctors, some guy that's getting crushed to death at an EMR terminal somewhere just trying to get through his forty Medicaid referrals is pitiable. Some pill vending psych or skin treatment saleslady in their respective private offices in Manhattan should have to suck off their patients if they want to get paid.
