It does start at noon, they're just showing a behind-the-scenes of Season 11.

Is it me or does it seem incredibly tonedeaf to play the rape scene from The Violent Years? Especially with the riffers joking that the guy actually wanted it...
I wouldn't mind as much if they weren't showing the same two "moments" over and over.

Allow me to be the millionth person to point out that Atlantic Rim is terrible and the lead is a jackass. There are some good riffs and I liked the bro sketch, but man this movie is attention-proof.

That whole movie -

One question - did the continuity director go out to lunch?

I loved how the bar in New Orleans is suddenly also in Manhattan. Or the one woman is wearing a salmon shirt inside the base during the first attack, but during the helicopter ride, she's wearing the blue shirt she would be wearing during the attack on Manhattan. Or Treach has the band on his head in one shot, and then it's not there the next!

I also love how none of the military guards are prepared to deal with someone holding a gun to the admiral's head. Like, the look on their face is one of confusion, shock, and panic. It's like - weren't you trained for this? Aren't you also armed with heavy weaponry. And why would the president order a nuclear strike and not talk to the guy running the whole organization, but instead, only to Geist. Unless it's meant to be some sort of conspiracy, but I didn't really pick up on that... but that could also have been edited out from the show.

Ah, I see this is your first experience with an Asylum movie.

e: if there was ever a time to use the "folk, the director just didn't care" bit, it's for this.

Another thing about the movie is that the main character is definitely piloting the mech drunk for the very first and very last fight.
Well, he was clearly drunk the entire movie, so yeah.

Killer Fish is a really bad movie.
I honestly thought it wasn't that bad. It could have used a little tightening up, sure, but I think I wouldn't have minded watching it on its own. More than anything else this season, it felt like an actual movie made by people who had seen a movie at some point and understood how story works.

Yeah, and they tried to play up that with the subsequent "animal + natural disaster" flicks like Arachnoquake and... I think something with lava and also spiders.
Lavalantula.

Yes, that's a movie. As is it's sequel, "Lavalantua 2: 2 Lava, 2 Lantua", both of which star Steve Guttenberg and Michael Winslow.

They're both part of that weird time where SyFy was leaning hard into the "lovely disaster/creature movie to watch ironically" thing that happened post-Sharknado.

It's always embarrassing when a company gets that big naturally-occurring viral push on something, then spends months or years trying to recapture that wave.

At least it's not very common. I've been to 4-5 live riffing events and I've never seen that happen in the theater. A packed house every time, too.
The only time I ever had it happen to me was for Space Mutiny, where a guy behind me was doing all the original riffs for his friends, just loud enough to be heard two rows ahead.
