Childhood memories are a bit hazy, but it was either (or some combination of) the Shorts Volume 1 VHS or the Movie.

Some enterprising fellow put up a playlist of the Volume 1 shorts in order here

If Joel is "sleepy-eyed inventor" and Mike is "dopey yet acerbic temp", Jonah would be "cool adjunct professor who only shows up to half his classes because he's busy DM'ing a D&D session"

He's a big, lovable nerd and easily the most natural riffer of the three.

And then the barrel briefly follows Crow back into the theater, before he shoos it away. It's a delightful little bit of physical comedy.

I loving hate this and its why every time I go to a convention I leave when the second half Q&A starts, because I know the questions asked are going to be the stupidest and/or most cringe-inducingly embarrassing poo poo imaginable. Every time I've stayed for one I've regretted it.

As a nerd myself, I'm begging fellow nerds: Develop self-awareness.

This was also the case at the LA premiere Q&A, but on the flip side, seeing Joel bust out the "it's just a show, you should really just relax" line in response to a bad question is... let's just call it an experience not to be missed. :magical:

Also, this is a really random question, but does anyone feel like the opening theme song is shot like a on-stage musical number? I can't put my finger on why, but the way it's shot makes me feel like you could exactly reproduce it on a stage for, say, a live show or something, and it would look the same.

No, I get the same feeling too. A lot of this season in general has that "stage show" feel, and I actually really like it as such.

Annnnd backers can also grab a sampler of the show's current theme (plus 8bit and MIDI versions, and the new Mighty Science Theater 3000 credits theme) from the same place as "Songs".

Got through the Gauntlet.

The season never quite reaches the heights of Mac & Me again, but regardless, it was a good time. Riffing was most definitely improved over S11.

Really enjoyed the little tributes to the 30th Anniversary (ie Erhardt, Idiot Control Now, and, of course, the ending) as well.
