Watched the Rifftrax ep of Ator 1 for the first time the other night. Oddly satisfying to finally get the gist of the background after watching the fast and inexplicable flashback exposition dump at the beginning of Cave Dwellers many times before now. The riffs were good, but the part that made me laugh the hardest were the unexplained elephant sfx in the scenes in the rundown shack. Were there elephants outside? Are they meant to be the sound of the door creaking? Why??

I caught Journey to the Center of the Earth (1989) on cable late at night many years ago, assumed it was going to be a Jules Verne adaptation from the title, instead got an Alien from LA sequel--and it doesn't even become clear that's what it is until halfway through the movie! I thought I was hallucinating
