It was a multiracial nation by modern standards, and of no concern to the actual Ancient Egyptians. The Egyptian concept of race was based on what language you spoke, how you dressed and what gods you worshiped. Anyone could be Egyptian if you adopted Egyptian culture. It also worked the other way and you could be seen as Not Egyptian, even if you were born in the Nile Delta if you spoke the wrong language and worshiped the wrong gods. It's why the founder of Dynasty 25, Pharaoh Piye, was born the future king of Napata, capital of Kush, but got to be considered Egyptian because he did the right stuff after his conquest. It's also why, despite being born in Lower Egypt, later Egyptian historians saw Apepi of Dynasty 15 as a foreigner, of Hyksos blood and No True Egyptian. Man, the gender binary was a big thing in Southwest Asia after the Abrahamic religions kicked off, possibly even before then. Also, China had slaves, it was forced labor that built the Great Wall. Also Japan had a slave class before contact with the Portuguese, most of Africa had some form of household slavery prior to the Trans-Atlantic Trade, the Northwest Coast natives had slavery pre-contact, and it was brutal stuff, and the Aztecs also had slavery, again pre-contact.
