Hello sonic thread, I loved adventure 1 and 2 on the dreamcast, but I had not played a sonic game since then. I just finished playing all the GameCube games, so here are my thoughts: Sonic Adventure 1 still holds up, 2 does not, Shadow the Hedgehog is better than I thought it would be and Heroes is much, much worse, although it does have the best crush 40 song. Whatever the next game is the enemies better not have health bars. If a non-boss enemy takes more than one hit I'll be real mad, oh boy!

In the stage Red Mountain in Sonic Adventure, sonic jumps down the mouth of a volcano and the stage changes to a fiery pit lined with prison cells full of ghosts, and the music changes to a new song filled with screams Did sonic briefly go to hell? Discuss

The best part of the SA1 hub was glitching though the geometry to get into other characters' levels The game doesn't give a gently caress. If Amy gets into emerald coast, let her play until she can't outrun the whale

At the end of sonic adventure 2 they imply that sonic has some sort of connection to project shadow and that's why he can go super and use chaos control and then they never followed up on it and I'm still mad about that twenty years later

Final Rush is fine until you get to Knuckles, and then you're hosed if you didn't get the secret upgrade ten hours earlier Unless you did get the upgrade, then it's just tedious

The problem with latter-day sonic characters is how busy their designs are. You gotta have two distinguishing features, max, and they should be simple enough for six year olds to draw from memory Look at how complicated blaze the cat's outfit is, can't no six year old remember all that. Purple guy in a cowboy hat? Perfect. Give me more of that guy

NACK was the original name in Japan but they changed his name to Fang at the very last minute because nobody at Sega ever talked to each other and they had no idea that the mega drive division was creating a character named NACKLES at the exact same time

Until generations I thought for sure that was a glitch. Like, it was just some generic placeholder music they had in there while they were waiting for the crush 40 track to be finished and they forgot that the game calls it twice

  Two things: first, obviously this is hilarious Second, this is basically canon. General O.C. Deviantart spent fifty years telling anybody who would listen that Shadow was responsible for the ARK massacre, so Robotnik could easily have grown up believing his older sister/cousin Maria was killed by a lightning fast hedgehog
