What could be worse than cosmic horrors? Humans usurping said cosmic horrors. It seems like the ancestor was a bit too quick in dismissing the experiments with the Flesh as failures, even though those provided the foundation for the cult, allowed him to corrupt shamblers and to even lay claim to all life on Earth.
