Johnny Five-Jaces posted:surprising to me that, due to sequestration cuts, DoD didn't allow people to write their own slogans on JDAMs or whatever for a nominal fee. Maybe innovation really is dead in this country The people working with the bombs aren't even supposed to do it anymore. At least I have a friend who's job was moving them around when he was in the air force and I know he wasn't supposed to as early as like 2006 or so.

I don't care one way or the other about that tweet but I hope the emoji movie bombs just because it may spell the end of sony pictures, the company behind masterpieces like Smurfs, Jack and Jill and the upcoming Jumanji movie everyone was asking for.

I was at a bar tonight that is frequented by minnesota state politicians (I live across the street and they have a good happy hour) and public enemy was playing. Somehow I don't think Chuck D would be alright with Terminator X being played at that joint with it's pristine white granite countertops and ten dollar cocktails. They do have good beer specials and nachos though.

Fitzgerald's it's sort of new named after the author. Decent. Fern's is across the street and a better bar but $3 minnesota beers during happy hour is a pretty good deal. GokuGoesSSj69 has issued a correction as of 11:04 on Sep 2, 2017 |

Meyers-Briggs Testicle posted:nah I don't think that's 100% of it, it might be a big part for a lot of people but some (read: ex-military) really take patriotism seriously It's pretty inaccurate to say the people who are ultra patriotic about these symbols are all ex-military. Most people who join the military do it for the paycheck. The veterans I know all support the player's right to kneel in protest. The people who are super touchy about the anthem and the flag are more the type who also sport a confederate flag bumper sticker I'd wager.

That menu reminded me of a place I used to live by http://burritounion.com/ I recommend the fat capitalist. That same company also owns a dance club type place called the red star that is probably the closest thing you'll get to a gay bar in that town.

get that OUT of my face posted:i saw a blog post about how online food ordering companies like GrubHub advertise on streaming porn sites because they get a lot of traffic from them Just from a quick search porn sites are the 6th, 7th and 8th most popular sites in the US so it's not really surprising anyone would advertise on them.

T-man posted:giving the most well paid back of house spot to a man for feminism I felt like head chef is an overwhelmingly male profession to begin with so I looked it up quick. 77.6% of chefs and head cooks are male so not really sure what kind of statement they are trying to make there.

Right, and anyone with any passing knowledge of restaurants knows that chefs are mostly male. People don't walk into an Applebee's and say can you believe a MAN is cooking the food?
