Quick correction: Bouncing actually doesn't do any less damage, though it does drain twice the durability. Though if you're bouncing off a part, that generally means you're doing really poor damage anyway, and you're attacking a part with a really low damage modifier. Also, why would you be focusing on the tail with a hunting horn. Edit: Also also, after looking it up, it appears that only cutting damage actually effects how close a tail is to being cut off. Nibelsnarf is by far one of my favorite monsters. He's goofy as gently caress and sounds like an accordion and just has so many dumb little gimmicks. It's impossible to hate him.
