I was getting caught up on Generation 16 and he was talking Tec Toy. Stuff I knew a little about, but would like to know more.

So Dragon Quests 1-3 are, at least in Japan, coming to PS4 and Nintendo 3DS as digital downloads, and it was apparently already possible to get Dragon Quest 1 through DQXI somehow. In all likelihood, these will be ports of the modern mobile versions (that's what the DQ1 via DQXI is).

This also means that it will be possible to play all 11 mainline Dragon Quest games on a 3DS (4-6 and 9 being DS games, and 10 being the Japan-only MMO which does have a 3DS version).

I've been enjoying Jeremy Parish's chrontendo-like series. It'll be 2050 by the time he finishes all 3 systems, but I really like the mostly no-nonsense and in-depth approach.

I enjoy(ed) his Gameboy series as I think that's a library that doesn't get talked about much. For better or worse.
