I supported intervention all along (and still do) on the simple ground that someone like Saddam, who had used gas on his own people, was just too dangerous to have around. I lived the build up and the attack and "victory" with a sense of sorrow for the innocent and pride we still had the stomach to "do something". I just didn't know yet that we had no plan for "after"...if we had, the Iraq War would be seen very differently. For this mistrust (no follow up plan) I have been very much against intervention in Syria...but fact is that no intervention hasn't been any better than intervention.
