I'm not sure what the issue with play-asia is. I got the last couple games through them just fine.

I also got up at 2am to order the limited edition. I wish I had somewhere I could punch in the tracking number they sent me today.

Man you guys weren't kidding about how rough even the early SR points are. Doing the space route it's a careful juggling of units and precise use of Raid and Quicken.

Man I really like Yon, and she has a secret attached to her. But the fact that her default P attack on her default mech has 0 accuracy sucks hard.

So I stuck her in a Gespenst as soon as Katina could hop into the GanDuro. Now all is well.

Learn how to use the Maximum Break mechanic. You basically force a squad to support attack you but with no penalty to their attack and with a bonus bit of damage before you start kicking butt.

By default Kai, Katina, Irm, Viletta, Aya and Kyosuke have the skill to start it (another one with it shows up near the end of the game).

You need two sets of twins next to each other and everybody needs a weapon that has the F quality. Most units have one by default, but you might have to equip a couple with something.

Everybody you wish to do the Maximum Break with needs 140 will or higher.

When you attack with one of the above mentioned characters and these criteria are met it'll pop up with the option to Maximum Break and then you just choose your attacks and go from there and reduce your will by 10 as a price for having a good time.

Otherwise my only big tip is to not twin people that do combo attacks together. Eg: don't put Kyosuke and Excellen together, not only are they not very good together in the same squad, it means you can't do their combo attack as often. This goes for every combo attack in the game, Kyosuke/Excellen, Sanger/Ratsel, Arado/Seolla, SRX/R Gun, Formation R and Latooni/Shine in the Fairlions.

I think everyone in the MB has to be at the same movement mode too, that is they all have to be flying or landed.

5 bars in accuracy is 20k, super cheap and so useful you should give that to all the mechs you plan to use. MD has tons of enemies that aren't just dodgy, but also like to evade during the player phase instead of counterattacking. You can go without upgrading accuracy in other games but in this one it is just going to frustrate you.

e: The hit and dodge rates remind me a lot of A Portable, except in this game you have to get SR points.

e2: poo poo I just got the joke.

Yeah, the best way to get started with upgrades is 5 bars in accuracy, then 5 bars in mobility or armor, whichever is more relevant for the unit.

Quick question about Gundam Breaker 3; it came with the DLC code, will it work only on the PSN account that it is activated for or is it a 100KB file that you download and all players on that system (regardless of PSN region) will be able to take advantage of the code?

Also, since I don't see an online pass code, I assume if you play with an NA account, everything is fine and dandy. Is there anything I lose if I don't use an Asian account?

I've so far only dealt with buying DLC for SRWZ3 and Gundam EXVS FB and I bought all of those on my JPN account and they worked fine on my English one (minus the online pass for EXVS FB). Does DLC work similarly for PS4?

I have looked in other places and this seems to be the case but I would like to confirm with someone here.

Any DLC is accessible to the entire system, but you'll need to use the native region to download it, from my experience.

I partnered Shu with Gilliam just to abuse Gilliam's multiturn shenanigans. The units kinda sorta work well together so that's a bonus. Fun fact: The Mahakala system acts as a super repair kit! What's more fun than MAPWing a bunch of guys twice (god bless continuous action) and cleaning up with an absurd ALL weapon afterwards? Doing it four more times in the same battle.

I tried partnering Amara with Glacies (they're both ranged units with ALL finishers) and setting up a conga line of Josh->Glacies/Amara->Shu, the weapon ranges juust work out that way but honestly neither Amara or Glacies are worth the trouble imo.

Masaki is pretty bad, the Cybuster still lacks an ALL and his MAPW is not what it used to be. Lune is solid though, and the Valsione R's weapon ranges are similar to the Lichkeit's, so I put her on Alfimi Bodyguard Duty.

I partnered Gilliam with Alfimi for semi-infinite Confusion. Not sure who to partner with Shu. Tried him and Yon for a mission, with Yon in the Wildfalken, the seemed to work all right, their all weapons have similar range in fact.

I've also finally started getting enough PP for Meditate on top of Continuous Action for some people, it's beautiful.

...if you're so inclined, you can also use cheats to set all the secret flags to on, so you can save Gai and still get Great Zeorymer.

Not just giving your enemies upgrades, but it lets you fully customize your protagonist's spirit list on New Game+. You will be taking Fury because everything in the endgame has Orgone Shields.

IIRC everything except the ability slot parts on the subpilot and submech should apply.

I think the SRX uses whatever ability parts are equipped to the R-1, because you can't equip ability parts to it.

The kind of otaku that are into giant robots probably aren't also into magical girls, and 4 year old girls probably don't play much strategy RPGs, is probably the logic they're using.

I think it could work if you went with a few nostalgia bait series (Read: Sailor Moon), a couple of precure, and then filled the rest of the roster with shows that weren't really aimed at kids, like Symphogear, Madoka, Yuuki Yuuna, etc.

I was playing through Calvina's route and I'm noticing that a lot of the SR Points so far have been "use the dual action twin spirit, park your beat-mech as far up the map as possible around a bunch of enemies, hope for the best." It felt like some of these points were just flat out impossible until I realized how to use this spirit.

I am glad I got some of my favorites back at least (Lamia will always be shoved into Vysaga because gently caress Angelg, Hugo/Aqua can drill stuff in the Garmraid, Rim needs to get the gently caress back in the group so I can use Forte Gigas, and Leona and Ing are still my best grunt killers). I dunno what to make of some of the other cast this time around, though. SRX team (save for Rai) hasn't been all that useful even though I can foresee needing the HTB Cannon Spam in the future. Viletta keeps dying to everything and is currently my Confuse button. Kyosuke and Excellen are just kinda along for the ride, and I straight up forgot Arado and Seolla existed

I've never done anything with the SRX team but form them into the SRX immediately. Just can't afford to upgrade all three of them.

You also get 4 people with SP Regen. Gilliam, Mai, Radha and Alfimi. Gilliam has Confuse as a twin spirit, Alfimif and Radha have Aspiration. This will be important. Meditate is the most important skill for these folks.

And yeah, the early SR Points can be rough, you need to spead Accel and Raid around to really get them all.
