Course mode in Extreme Vs Force is super fun and I can't believe that the original release shipped without it since it's such a fun mode and an easy way to earn GP withou having to grind in the main mode. Also the Ez8 is fun because I love blowing up world beating super suits with just an artillery cannon.

Watching all the stuff from the EVA vs Godzilla event in X-Omega just makes me want Akane and Kiryu in a big boy SRW because Akane is extremely good and should be in as many things as possible.

I'm still playing VS Force off and on, its still fun but I'm not a fan of the game using the Char version of the Rick Dias as standard troops instead of the actual MP Rick. It's not that bad when you can pick your squad layout but on missions where you're locked into a bunch of 500-1000 cost MP troops it's a loving nightmare trying to make any progress.

The Force battles were pretty fun even if Vs stuff was lacking. The last chapter was the high point for Force stuff and the final battle was legitimately fun for me, especially since I went for the medal for only 2000 point units and they bothered to have the different waves spawn in at different positions each time so you have to keep your squads moving and pop force commands when you need them. Not sure if I'm going to go far into the post game since I don't trust Bandai Namco licensed stuff to not pump it full of bullshit, but I think I got my money's worth. Only real problem I had was the story being nothing until the end where it tried and failed to pull together anything of worth. Also I think the ending is supposed to tie into something else but gently caress if I'll bother to find out.

VS Force stuck to instrumentals and didn't have any opening songs or anything that would need a license, so I wouldn't be surprised if they did that for the international versions.

I remember that fanfic. It was really terrible, like most fan ideas to "fix" Shinji. Turns out the most consistent way to improve the emotionally hosed teen is to give him a network of friends who encourage and help him, like SRW tends to.

I got bored and watched the demo reel attack showcase on youtube, and it's kinda charming how they used the localized titles for stuff when they could, even though they didn't need to. Special shout out though to them using the English translation of Daitarn 3's Italian name as the localization.

The fact that SRW writing isn't exactly top notch doesn't help, and neither does having characters from other series talking about how awful/annoying/unlikable the girls are nearly every time it happens.

Despite almost everything being post series and thus not being able to do their fun moments from the shows, the way UC is handled is really good since they actually rewrite just enough so that everyone can mesh with the one non post series UC. Amuro and Kamille being wary of their own suits due to what they did to them feeds into the NT-D plot plus both have connections to Frontal's whole deal, Judau saving the Ples means they can play into Marida's deal, and Judau sticking around and not loving off to Jupiter mean you have a newtype pilot who isn't weighed down with baggage like the other protags and becomes a voice of reason. It turns out UC works way better when you're not trying to run the plots of three different shows at once, who knew.

There is a like a giant pile of issues with G-Reco but everyone seems to pile on the really flawed ones or the ones that come down entirely to personal taste. And then you get the internet nerd mentality where you have to dig up as many reasons as possible for why you are absolutely right and everyone else is wrong. Like G-Reco happened, it did okay financially, Bell and G-Self are going to cameo in everything until the end of time like every other gundam protag, who cares.
