EGSunBro posted:Having an SRW in English is so cool. The J fan patch and the GBA OG games were my intro to the series and I've really missed being able to read what's happening. I'll pick up a ps4 sometime down the road Im sure. Do we know if the Vita version of V is getting a Signapore release? Just go and rip that band-aid out in one go! You can do it! And I'm pretty sure V will be like MD, with only the PS4 version get the "translation".

Hell, we barely got an Eternity to rebel who'd been angry for the lifetime of a jillion universes. Ten original bears, a billion others added over the years. And I'll argue against your point! From what I see in this list here, all Bears embody such positive emotions that they would probably supercharge the Supreme with goodness, love for people, love for the world, etc, that it'd reject Advent's shenanigans and probably turn him good. quote:Grumpy Bear shows that while it's okay to be grumpy sometimes, it is also silly to let grumpiness go too far. He is cynical, surly, and rarely happy, hence his name, but he does value his friends and smiles on special occasions. We've also found the key towards bringing Barbiel to our side.

Are they in range? 4) Do they have 140 morale? 5) Have the person with the skill start an attack, using a non-ALL weapon, and MB will be usable Brunom1 fucked around with this message at 23:01 on Aug 16, 2016 |

ACES CURE PLANES posted:So, another question about PP - for a semi-locked subpilot like Shoko, is there any reason to grab any skills that aren't directly related to just using spirits? Or do the other relevant skills carry over to the combined mech? I assume only the main pilot's skills are applied, but can't hurt to ask. The G-Thunder Gate DOES have a MAPW so if you grab her Continuous Action, you can have her pop out, MAPW some stuff and kill at least one. Chain that until you're happy and have Kouta bring her back in. Other than that, I'd just grab SP Ups. Brunom1 fucked around with this message at 04:28 on Aug 17, 2016 |

Tighran posted:How is the English translation of Moon Dwellers, mechanically speaking? Meaning story stuff aside, do the menus and spirit commands and mission objectives make sense? I'd love to play a SRW game without having to refer to a guide for the first half of the game to learn the seishins and for the rest of the game for the objectives and bonus stuff. And getting some story stuff would be neat too, even knowing that it'll be bad at times. Mechanical stuff like menus and whatnot are perfectly fine, save for many terms being different from the Atlus names. Character and unit names seem fine, barring a few oddities (Irum, short for Irmgard). As for actual plot and terminology... "inconsistent" is the word I'd use. Despite the fact that the company who did the translation claims they have twenty five years of experience doing so, there are MANY odd phrases - grammar, conjugation and whatnot are all over the place. Is it understandable? Yes, but it could certainly be better. Terms are sometimes left in Japanese for apparently no reason (Gyokuza Ki, Shura no ran) while some lines are simply mistranslated - thankfully, this isn't a common occurrence but it IS there. I bought the english version to support the initiative but I always make sure to have videos of the JP version open to check on anything that strikes me as odd. Hopefully, Bamco will hear the feedback and at least hire a competent team of editors to clean up V's script because MD shows a lot less polish than Gundam Breaker 3's translation.

I can think of uses for the Schwert: it flies well out of the box, has good movement and is S-sized. That's decent enough that you CAN put a support in there just to tag along. I see no such caveats for the MP Hucky. The thing sucked in OG2, it sucks even more now.

I... can't really remember the last time SRW actually pushed me to watch something. I'm usually satisfied with reading the stories in the game. In truth, the only anime mech shows I've fully watched were the ones that played on TV when I was a kid: Gundam Wing and Patlabor. If we expand into Sentai, I also watched Power Rangers religiously (what with being born on the tail end of the 80s) but I was first brought into the genre via Changeman and Flashman. A VHS rental place had their full series. Edit: poo poo, talking about it made me want my dose of nostalgia. If the lack of new lines would be a problem for DYRL, then it should've also stopped the likes of Daitarn or, until recently, the original Mazinger and Getter. I reckon what they recorded for the Alphas and others ought to be more than enough.

To be fair, Ja-mu's Raftclans is the crappy one without a proper finisher. Fu-Lu, Kalo-ran and Al-Van are the real deal. But I'll admit that Fu-Lu and Ja-mu's last battles felt so incredibly easy after the XO finale stomped me into the ground and made me use 95% of my resources. Edit: Oh, but consider that we DID deprive Ja-mu of his actual boss unit. He would've been a bigger threat if he still had that. Brunom1 fucked around with this message at 13:06 on Oct 22, 2016 |
