i haven't played a good party based CRPG in a while. i've played most of the main ones, so i'm curious if anyone has recs for lesser known titles on steam that might be worth picking up. my computer right now sucks though, so it also has to be pretty low on system requirements.

temple of elemental evil + circle of 8 fan patch to fix the thousands of bugs imho. that might only be on gog tho. or idk icewind dale 2 [might also only be on gog].

legend of grimrock 1/2 are pretty low system requirements and play like real old crap like eye of the beholder and dungeon master. i've only played 1 [and haven't beaten it cuz i got stuck on puzzle and then my old laptop died and i didn't have my saves], but it seems like 2 improves everything...

might and magic 4, 5, and 6 if u want to get reall y old and low system requirements.

If you haven't played Shadowrun Dragonfall and Hong Kong do that.

Underrail is really good but not party-based, same w Age of Decadence.

Divinity: Original Sin owns if you can run it.

The Geneforge games are great and would run on my fat rear end so play those.

Invisible Inc is more or less an RPG and it's amazing.

Wasteland 2 is ok I guess.

Blackguards is pretty fun, Blackguards 2 is fail.

I.drat I forgot Invisible Inc was on PS4. gonna check that out today

edit: and I already owned it apparently but never downloaded it .... it doesn't look like it was ever a PS+ game so I'm confused but I'll take it

Whoa Invisible Inc is sick. probably isn't what the OP is looking for though it's more like a lighter X-Com with heavy stealth focus. The first mission kicked my rear end a couple times on Experienced/Ironman mode and when I beat it without losing anyone it was extremely tense

It's actually somewhat epic for a 2 dollar instagib game.

I think Hong Kong is better than Dragonfall because I like the party members more.

If you can run it on your trashbox try Divinity Original Sin. Light your enemies on fire and drop some sick burns on your party members.

there were some story stuff that Dragonfall did better but I liked the setting more and the party members in HK are my favorite of almost any rpg. FWIW they're almost even in how good they are to me

She grounded you because killing random encounters in FF8 is non-optimal due to the level scaling mechanic.
