I feel like this opening shows off Rafe better than most of the other new characters. Sam honestly didn't impress me during the intro, other than being Nate's big brother we've never had mention of.

I do kinda wonder why the cross needed to be hidden. Instead of "Oh I just found this cross, it's valuable on it's own but no big treasure". Especially since Rafe wants to make sure they have it even though they know about the cathedral already.

Oddly enough Drake and Sully had their personalities kinda switched. Drake was the cautious one willing to back out while Sully was this person who kept getting into risky debts.

I always wondered about that, because you hear the Decendants in that part of the game, but it's a completely different area. Then again Drake and company probably never told anyone about the death monsters that probably need dealt with.

Nate also has great facial expression when he calls Elena. You can tell he's feeling terrible about lying but also excited how his brother is back and can go on an adventure with him.

Also since Chip already mentioned Charlie is missing from this game, in the original draft he did show up and they did some motion capture with his actor, along with an unnamed character played by Alan Tudyk.

The first area where you can stealth through for an achievement it's pretty hard to do. Though what hurt me was I'd get to the door then Sam would take forever to get over so I would get caught and have to kill everyone.

That first puzzle isn't the same every time you play it if I remember right. Plus there's an achievement for getting it in 10 moves or less.

I do like how they make Scotland and Madagascar different in design so they play kinda differently in structure without hurting the game. Especially since driving in games that don't feature it can often be awkward.

Sam and Cutter would overlap in terms of character anyway. Though honestly I think Cutter worked a little better than Sam, but that's kinda hurt by Sam kinda coming out of nowhere.

I kinda wish Nate was more down this area, compared to Sam's more general excitement, but this really is a really well done area. It's small enough where you aren't wandering forever but big enough where it feels open.
