Cool and very good day watching Westfields FC beat St Ives 4-0 with all the goals in the second half, in what was maybe the biggest upset the FA Cup First Qualifying Round has ever seen. No pies at half time threatened to ruin the occasion, but this season's cup is off to a flyer (assuming you ignore the two pre-qualifying rounds that have already happened which I do). Here's a picture I took while a man was on the floor, to prove that I'm a real football fan, and that I was one of the 190 strong who stood in the pissing rain and intensely strong cider smell from the Bulmers mill next door to witness this amazing occasion.

After going to see Westfields in the first qualifying round way back on page 2, I've been stupidly excited to see them progress all the way to the First Round Proper for the first time ever, where they are now comfortably the lowest-ranked team still in the competition. They will be up against the mighty Curzon Ashton on Saturday, and having already knocked out a team from the seventh tier, I'm going to go ahead and pronounce them the eventual cup winners. Look out for them on Saturday night on BT Sport where they will be on TV for an hour, taking the total amount of time they've been on TV up to one hour.

Hernandez misses a penalty for Hull, goes for the rebound, is fouled by the keeper, gets another penalty, misses again. Good times.
