I went to Des Moines once. I also just finished a road trip from Seattle to south central Minnesota on the I-90 corridor. See below for which cities along the way were better or worse than Des Moines: Better than Des Moines: All of them Worse than Des Moines: A derelict portable toilet near Deer Lodge, MT

Iowa sucks, there is nothing good there. I used to live in Omaha which is a better and cooler place than all of Iowa combined by a long ways. Every time I had to drive across the river to do some stupid job in Council Bluffs I had a grimace on my face because Council Bluffs sucks. gently caress Iowa.
