OH NO!
I've been looking into getting my 8 year old Lhasa mix some insurance. I found one company (Healthy Paws) that seems very well reviewed, but they won't cover hip dysplasia in dogs over 6, which is a deal breaker.

Other companies I've found have decent editorial reviews, but actual users only seem to post their horror stories so they all have terrible rankings. Do any of you have pet insurance? If so, can you recommend a solid one that will actually pay claims and not jack up rates? Or is pet insurance a scam and I'd be better off stuffing money in the mattress?
