i dont know what phone you have or what version of android its on but my phone (galaxy s5 android 6) lets you tap the screen and just input a normal password if you cant swipe your finger print

if hes talking about a knock code its prolly some lg poo poo, should def be able to just enter the pin if the scan doesn't work

LG G5. I triple checked and asked LG tech support and it was confirmed there was nothing I can do. It definitely didn't used to be this way. anyway,
