I thought Wolf of Wall Street was one of the best movies I had ever seen and I wish it was a miniseries or TV show because 3 hours was too short, not even exaggerating.
If you haven't seen it, do it now.
Wolf was a better gangster movie than Goodfellas. Casino is pretty awesome, but when Boardwalk was good (Seasons 3 and 4 iirc?) it was the best.
It's high on my queue.
I also want to point out that Martin Scorsese is a tremendous supporter and patron for film preservation. He started The Film Foundation, World Cinema Project, and a few others to fund and save films. The Film Foundation helped back the restorations of The Red Shoes, The Night of the Hunter, All That Jazz, Hitchcock's silent films, The Apu Trilogy, The Leopard, early films by Kenneth Anger and Stan Brakhage, and even Scorsese's own The King of Comedy. Not to mention a bunch of lesser known world films.
It's just neat that such a prominent filmmaker does so much to protect the work of other filmmakers.
This is really cool
