I have decided that this is the most 70s album cover of the 70s Not only is the design 70s, but it has the 70s in the image. Plus this album is pretty much synonymous with the 70s, since most of its songs are ingrained in 70s youth culture. Post the album covers that most describe and/or elucidate a given decade.

Now this is something I'm really interested in. I was listening to these guys in the 2000s, but I don't have the perspective to know if they are decade-defining. I will assume they are. Thank you.

Friginator posted:I've always loved the look on the middle guy's face. I like to think that it's a sort of meta thing, where they're dressed in demeaning costumes but at least they get to kill the obnoxious woman who made them do it for her album cover. But the middle guy is lost in a sea of happy thoughts about seeing that woman dead. Apparently Anna Russell's main act was to sing Gilbert and Sullivan parodies, so I don't blame him. As funny as Anna Russell was, I'm sure she was well in on the joke.

Instead of "terrible" I think you meant "awesome" or possibly "incredible", as that was one of the best songs of the 80s. Also I have never seen the single cover, so thanks for that. Here's a very 60s album cover, not the most 60s, but definitely part of it
