Reddit is the golden calf of advertisers that are e-marketing virally to the modern plebeian through the homogenization of culture via recursive memetic humor and a limited set of media channels, whereas Something Awful is the advertiser's Untouchable, a self-destructive hive of scum, cynics, nerds, and penniless comedians that like to have discussions with each other. They're incredibly dissimilar in method and function, userbase, and investor interest, and with good reason. Something something lowest common denominator, grumble mumble internet makes you stupid.

It was family-approved age-restriction-free lite porn that you could buy/bought for your gross teenaged boy-child that appeared on magazine racks back when Axe body spray was just becoming a thing. It's porn for children. And by buying it for a minor you're contributing to the creation of child porn when your gross child looks at it with his chapped misshapen wiener out because he's not old enough to be a consenting adult.
