This update sort of highlights an issue I have with the game's pacing. We had several good opportunities for a boss fight: 1) After Horkos is finally removed from the ship 2) When Horkos attacks our ship but is repelled 3) When we next confront Horkos and he drops his hoof 4) Finally when we battle him in his banquet basement It feels like a lot of padding. I remember thinking "Oh my god, we're still not fighting!?" several times back when I tried to play the game myself. Maybe it was just a problem I had personally, but I don't recall the game getting any better about this either.

Its really sad when the most likable characters are the static sidecast.

I can think of a good example in Persona 3 where the "boss loses its poo poo" is actually preferable to his standard attack rotations so you Makarakarn up. Aside from that though, eh. Not really wise most of the time.
