Guys, if you aren't for nuclear death-fire in support of american interests, you must be a pinko-commie.

Haha, during the precinct caucus someone used the Nader line on me. Every precinct had someone from the Hillary campaign coming from CA(out of state) to "observe". Lots of them used the Nader line as well.

UV_Catastrophe posted:With how people are reacting to Trump closing to within a few percentage points of Clinton, I cannot imagine how USPOL would react to an actual Trump victory. Probably screeching white hot ball of rage at voters under thirty and "brocialists" following a rebrand in 2020 where Chelsea Clinton runs on the "Bigger Better Wall" platform.

Dexo posted:All NeoLiberal lies to get her elected. If she wins we suddenly go full Reagan. I'm going to vote and wait and see. I just think it'll be some sort of "Golly Gee I want to help but those republicans have too many seats". Anything that does get through probably won't touch things like hospitals, doctors, pharmaceuticals, or medical device manufacturing being in a price war with the american patient in the middle. Getting some more liberal supreme court justices on the bench might be the largest impact as far as laws go.

gfsincere posted:There's tons of overlap between the 2. Plenty of reservists and NG that are cops. If I'm remembering the Ferguson deployment, they tend to use the NG in guard and non-confronting roles to free up more fucks that tape over their names and numbers. Uniformed military that cover up names and break heads would probably attract some real bad press.

gfsincere posted:It wouldn't be. You have yet to demonstrate why my black life would suddenly have worth to the NG when it doesn't to the police. Look the only thing that looks worse than cops beating down civilians would literally be state paramilitary being called in and being caught beating down civilians in a uniform that the federal services use. Also the fact that while you are painting them as just having the same people in them, the NG have probably more people that are not cops and are probably more humane because of it. Unless you get MP units, gently caress MPs.

vyelkin posted:Nevada has a lot of white people that show up in polls and a lot of Latino people that don't show up in polls, for whatever reason. iirc Obama outperformed polling in Nevada by ~5% in both 2008 and 2012. Being treated as important every four years and abandoned apart from that with an all controlling business lobby in state legislature where they don't bother running Dems in any office for most of the state might color the assessments of people on the ground. Nevadans are mostly poor white people born there and imports from CA and other states.

Burden of proof is on you, anything except the drat Bellamy salute is being labeled the negative label of flavor. Talk to me when someone goes to bat for the poor of color, non-color, or actually impinges on money holders in american politics without the goddamn communists out there. (countdown until someone implies I just want Trump to win)

Functionally if you express sympathy, while actively loving them over it also pretty much works the same way. The homeless, poor, and youth don't vote enough for their interests to matter after all.
