A friend of mine told me that Trump claimed that 80 percent of all white homicide victims were killed by black people but I don't see anything in the news about it. Surely my friend is mistaken and he didn't say anything that egregiously stupid did he?

Trump...Trump is like a car. And you look and there is nobody at the wheel and everybody is like LOOK OUT ITS GOING TO SWERVE ALL OVER THE ROAD WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE AHHH

* dramatic pause punctuated by a self satisfied smirk*

..but it doesn't, does it? Everything's okay. It stays the course. Because that car is driven by a robot. And that robot is the freedom loving american electorate. Now, Hillary Clinton is like a watch. She has all these facts and figures and oh sure, it's water proof, we guarantee it, we promise. The eggheads promise. But look what happens when you wear it in the shower. The steam gets in. Just like the cash and your tax dollars getting into Bill's fat bank accounts.

I honestly wonder what I would do if I was in this position. Say I'm sitting in a restaurant eating lunch and suddenly Donald loving Trump walks in with his contingents of handlers, security, and media people. Would I have the courage to speak up and call him a disgusting racist to his face or would I just look down and pretend he wasn't there.

Wad up marshmellow fluff or some maple syrup on your fingers and then go shake hands.

One day I was hanging out on the boardwalk in Atlantic City and I didn't have my phone or a watch so I asked some old lady for the time and she ignored me and walked over to a police officer who came over and asked me what I was doing and told me to leave. That is my watch story.

I didn't connect the dots at the time but it is possible Trump was at one of his casinos at the time or knew the lady or maybe the cop worked for him.

I think it will be interesting to see him back in front of crowds that don't a hoot and a holler at everything he says. I think he will spend at least 3 minutes of his total time per debate mugging to complete silence.

Also apparently a GOP candidate for a councilman position around where I used to live is wishing rape via Syrian refugee upon Olivia Nuzzi. Wonderful.

Hello all I am a single issue voter on the matter of Trump having access to nuclear weapons. I dont think he should but then I see this stuff about the Clinton Foundation and I just don't know if I can trust Hilary not to give Trump access to nuclear weapons in a pay to play (with nukes). Who do I vote for, Trump or Clinton?

Man, sometimes the temptation to try and make a shitload of money off the right wing is overwhelming. I bet I could go to a polling place dressed like Sherlock Holmes with a big cartoon magnifying glass and claim I was looking for Clinton's integrity like a hosed up pennsylytucky Diogenes and the next day I would be making paid appearances and angling for a book deal.

I understand what you are saying. But every election(i could vote for W, the first time) it's always been a, "The world is ending you better vote for us or else we all DIE!!!!" So I'm not buying it at this point. I'm not voting for someone I despise, I'm not going to vote for 3rd party to send a message to the 2 party system. Both sides are loving liars and cheats. Clinton is a better choice than Trump, but my state is going hard BLUE anyway, so it doesn't matter what my single vote says.

A hell of a lot of people died because Bush won. Like a whole lot.

Obama didn't end us going to war. He certainly isn't more peaceful than Bush. Really, he seemed to just continue the same policies. I don't see much of a difference. Bush certainly started Iraq, but Obama didn't end it faster than he would have. Both presidents have thousands if not more of peoples blood on their hands. And arguing over who has slightly less isn't something I really care to do, but so we can put it to rest, Bush has more. But it wasn't between Bush and Obama, it's anyone's guess how Gore would have reacted.

Obama didn't pull out immediately because it would have been hosed up to do so. We annihilated their power structure, once we had done that we were responsible for at least attempting to establish some stability before leaving.

And I'm sorry, but I think it is a fair assumption that gore wouldn't have manufactured a lie out of whole cloth to start a war. A hell of a lot of people died because Bush won. I'm sorry that you think people were being hyperbolic about the loss of those lives but it is in fact a big deal.

So this statement makes me realize what you guys think I actually mean.

You think, that just because the sky was falling in the past, and it fell(IE bush was elected but we all lived), that this time is somehow different. Because Trump is probably, most likely, the most toxic candidate ever proposed, especially when you realize how far Trump is from every day Americans. As in, there was a president in the past that thought all slaves were no better than roaches, and that Indianans were also less than human.

No, I mean. I'm just flat out not buying it. I'm not comparing Trump to anyone. Trump is loving terrible. Hillary is somewhat better. I literally, literally(since this word gets loving tossed about and people don't care what it means), don't care about the differences. Both are loving terrible. I'm not voting for either. My not voting doesn't mean that somehow Trump is the same as Bob Dole. It doesn't mean that Hillary won't be Obama 2.0. It means, I hate both of them, and neither one deserves my vote. And I will not be shamed, guilted, hyped, into voting for Hillary because she is less bad. If you take this to mean anything else than 'gently caress BOTH OF THEM', that is up to you.

We take it as intellectual and moral cowardice. There are clear defined differences between the candidates which you aren't interested in learning and one would cause more pain in the lives of real live people who you don't seem to give much of a poo poo about.

We voted Bush, and then turned around and elected Obama. Presidents are only 4 year terms. There is nothing that says that if Trump gets voted in to office that it means we will be a Fascist nation. I'd like to interpret what you mean by, 'for the new century' to mean for the next 100 years? Because the alternative is, Obama lead us into this century and the next century is 84 years off. So I reject that Trump means we lose what America is. If he tries to turn this country into a Fascist nation, he will be impeached. The Republicans hate him as it is. I don't see him destroying this country in 4 years. Republicans made a similar statement about Obama doing away with term limits and being our 'Dear Leader' - bullshit, and here we are 2016 voting for either Trump or Hillary.

Things aren't as dire as the media and everyone acts like they are. Presidents don't matter as much as everyone every 4 years pretends they do. It's all hype. Too many people each 4 presidential election term buy into it. In time I hope you all realize this. It's why presidential elections go one way, then 2 years later the house and senate tend to flip opposite. The American populace does not like it when one party controls it all and when that happens we all vote to undo it. And even if it somehow happens, which it won't since its 80%/20% Hillary last I heard, it will only be that way for 2 years, and Trumps own party hates him.

We voted Bush and a lot of people died and got hurt who most likely wouldn't have gotten hurt if Gore was elected. But that doesn't matter?

I know you'd like to think this, but there is no proof. There is no saying what would have happened under Gore. For all we know Gore could have been assassinated 2 days in which sent the USA into a tail spin which then China took advantage of launching the full force of their not yet complete aircraft carrier against Japan which then caused North Korea to invade south korea, the the panic that ensued Canada invaded Mexico, while Cuba took over florida and unleashed the full force of its weather machine against Africa.............We don't loving know

Okay, now you are just arguing in bad faith.
