A friend of mine told me that Trump claimed that 80 percent of all white homicide victims were killed by black people but I don't see anything in the news about it. Surely my friend is mistaken and he didn't say anything that egregiously stupid did he?

Trump...Trump is like a car. And you look and there is nobody at the wheel and everybody is like LOOK OUT ITS GOING TO SWERVE ALL OVER THE ROAD WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE AHHH * dramatic pause punctuated by a self satisfied smirk* ..but it doesn't, does it? Everything's okay. It stays the course. Because that car is driven by a robot. And that robot is the freedom loving american electorate. Now, Hillary Clinton is like a watch. She has all these facts and figures and oh sure, it's water proof, we guarantee it, we promise. The eggheads promise. But look what happens when you wear it in the shower. The steam gets in. Just like the cash and your tax dollars getting into Bill's fat bank accounts.

Say I'm sitting in a restaurant eating lunch and suddenly Donald loving Trump walks in with his contingents of handlers, security, and media people. Would I have the courage to speak up and call him a disgusting racist to his face or would I just look down and pretend he wasn't there. Wad up marshmellow fluff or some maple syrup on your fingers and then go shake hands.

One day I was hanging out on the boardwalk in Atlantic City and I didn't have my phone or a watch so I asked some old lady for the time and she ignored me and walked over to a police officer who came over and asked me what I was doing and told me to leave. That is my watch story. I didn't connect the dots at the time but it is possible Trump was at one of his casinos at the time or knew the lady or maybe the cop worked for him.

I think it will be interesting to see him back in front of crowds that don't a hoot and a holler at everything he says. I think he will spend at least 3 minutes of his total time per debate mugging to complete silence. Also apparently a GOP candidate for a councilman position around where I used to live is wishing rape via Syrian refugee upon Olivia Nuzzi. Wonderful. http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/S-Jersey-GOP-candidate-blames-hack-for-rape-comments.html ParliamentOfDogs fucked around with this message at 10:42 on Sep 6, 2016 |

Hello all I am a single issue voter on the matter of Trump having access to nuclear weapons. I dont think he should but then I see this stuff about the Clinton Foundation and I just don't know if I can trust Hilary not to give Trump access to nuclear weapons in a pay to play (with nukes). Who do I vote for, Trump or Clinton?

Man, sometimes the temptation to try and make a shitload of money off the right wing is overwhelming. I bet I could go to a polling place dressed like Sherlock Holmes with a big cartoon magnifying glass and claim I was looking for Clinton's integrity like a hosed up pennsylytucky Diogenes and the next day I would be making paid appearances and angling for a book deal.

Indigofreak posted:I understand what you are saying. But every election(i could vote for W, the first time) it's always been a, "The world is ending you better vote for us or else we all DIE!!!!" So I'm not buying it at this point. I'm not voting for someone I despise, I'm not going to vote for 3rd party to send a message to the 2 party system. Both sides are loving liars and cheats. Clinton is a better choice than Trump, but my state is going hard BLUE anyway, so it doesn't matter what my single vote says. A hell of a lot of people died because Bush won. Like a whole lot.

Obama didn't pull out immediately because it would have been hosed up to do so. We annihilated their power structure, once we had done that we were responsible for at least attempting to establish some stability before leaving. And I'm sorry, but I think it is a fair assumption that gore wouldn't have manufactured a lie out of whole cloth to start a war. A hell of a lot of people died because Bush won. I'm sorry that you think people were being hyperbolic about the loss of those lives but it is in fact a big deal.

Indigofreak posted:So this statement makes me realize what you guys think I actually mean. We take it as intellectual and moral cowardice. There are clear defined differences between the candidates which you aren't interested in learning and one would cause more pain in the lives of real live people who you don't seem to give much of a poo poo about.

Indigofreak posted:We voted Bush, and then turned around and elected Obama. Presidents are only 4 year terms. There is nothing that says that if Trump gets voted in to office that it means we will be a Fascist nation. I'd like to interpret what you mean by, 'for the new century' to mean for the next 100 years? Because the alternative is, Obama lead us into this century and the next century is 84 years off. So I reject that Trump means we lose what America is. If he tries to turn this country into a Fascist nation, he will be impeached. The Republicans hate him as it is. I don't see him destroying this country in 4 years. Republicans made a similar statement about Obama doing away with term limits and being our 'Dear Leader' - bullshit, and here we are 2016 voting for either Trump or Hillary. We voted Bush and a lot of people died and got hurt who most likely wouldn't have gotten hurt if Gore was elected. But that doesn't matter?

"That legislation" doesn't just happen no matter who wins. Jesus.

It doesn't matter who wins the election because the Policy Fairy will stop the Republicans from abolishing SNAP benefits. Their boner for doing it is literally about to rip their khakis in half but it just sort of won't happen. It just wont, look volunteer or something, I'm busy! And maybe you should have voted for Bernie GODDAMN YOU!
