Arthur, you don't peel it, silly, you cut off nice manageable bite-size pieces and eat them, rather than having your disgusting, gaping maw all over the thing. In addition to being more civilized, it's quite a bit more efficient since you wind up with a thinner core and less wasted apple.

could someone tell me the secret of steel or is taht something that only comes with the instructions when you buy a knife?

Steel is iron (the forth most common element) that has had carbon atoms alloyed creating a crystalline lattice that lends strength and rigidity at the cost of losing some of raw iron's malleability, making it more suitable for various industrial uses

I'm all for using a knife unnecessarily to show how manly and badass I am but cutting an apple with a knife versus eating it with your mouth is like the difference between teledildonics and actual sex with a meat person. The only time you want to eat an apple with a knife is if you're like, the Amish Mafia and you're trying to intimidate somebody without getting out of your chair.

a single american tear rolls down my right eye onto my slightly muscular and defined orbital bone.

70 years? try 120 years! i have an older bayonet that was standard issue during the Spanish American war. the thing is one solid piece of steel (even the case). you could definitely still murder people with this 100+ year old tool of war just as well as the day it was made

That's what I carry. Benchmade will replace any internals and sharpen the thing for only the cost to ship it to them, and I'm not even the original owner.

As for why? Because I had to carry one every day when I did night stock, and got used to having it. Also, I don't really understand what the downside is to keeping a knife around?

Automatic Assisted opening vs Assisted Thumbstud Quick Draw is an interesting conversation.

On one had I have a milwakee automatic for construction stuff because it's really convenient and reliable

on the other hand the thumbstud quick draw mechanism on the Kershaw Blur is just so dang smooth and fun to use ive actually given this knife away as an every day career recommend just to share it with people.
